Situated in the Rhins of Galloway in the coastal village of Drummore, Scotland’s most southerly point, these holiday cottages stand on the shore of Luce Bay with its sand and shingle beaches just across the road. The well-equipped cottages offer stunning views across the expanse of Luce Bay with its white tipped waves and sea birds, beautiful in the summer, but equally spectacular for wave watching in winter. The area is unspoilt, the scenery idyllic, and the seascapes around the Rhins as dramatic as they are beautiful. Attractions include fishing, golf courses and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals and otters can all be seen in the area. Logan Botanical Gardens are a must during spring and summer with its beautiful displays of rare and native plants, as are the gardens at Castle Kennedy and Ardwell House. 5 miles north of Stranraer is Cairnryan, home to the Stena Line and P&O ferries which make regular trips to Ireland. A local, well stocked convenience store, café/seafood restaurant and 3 pubs are all within easy walking distance.

Summary: This was our second visit to Drummore and Gigha. It is beautiful part of the country and Gigha cottage is a pleasure to stay in.

Summary: Enjoyable relaxing holiday in a relatively un-spoilt corner of Scotland. The cottage was clean and presentable with fabulous sea views to the front and a sun-trap garden to the rear. Only 20 or so yards from the sea.

Summary: Lovely cottage that is deceptively spacious. Could not ask for better views and local walks, just a great place to relax and chill out. Only negative was the pre-set electric heating that never activated. Also it is a pity that the characterful Ship Inn in Drummore has closed.

Summary: I've only rated 8 on local amenities as it is a remote place.....so unless you are outdoorsy not a lot to do. Which suits me ? Beautiful comfortable cottage in a stunning location

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Gigha' and would recommend it to anyone who wants peace and quiet, and just to escape the rat race. We were blessed with fantastic weather and so used the garden a lot. The beach is just across the road at the front of the property but the road is very quiet. The views from the front windows across Luce bay are stunning, as is the whole area. A very well stocked village shop is only a few minutes walk away (or a minutes drive). Can't recommend this property enough. It was immaculately kept, the broadband was really good, we had no problems with it. To sit at the window was a real treat, we definitely intend to return we loved 'Gigha' (and so did Alfie, our westie).

Summary: Excellent cottage, very comfortable. Good location looking directly at the sea. Enclosed garden ideal for the dogs and easy access to local walks, either short or strenuous whichever suits. Local shop available for provisions if required and local pub and cafe all to be recommended.

Summary: The cottage is lovely, a perfect home from home. Just one or 2 niggles but nothing to take away from the cottage at all. Views are out of this world, the sound of the sea at night is lulling you to sleep. Only niggle was no where open as it is winter but again nothing major.
