Summary: Lovely place well located. Breakfast was great. i got the room with the shower behind the door so it was a bit tight, but the room was well furnished and lovely.

Summary: Another enjoyable stay at Darwin. The room was spotless and had a comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. There’s a honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks and pay on departure. The hotel is very close to the town centre where there are lots of eating places to choose from. We parked on the St Julien’s Friars carpark which is reasonable priced and just round the corner from the hotel. Would definitely recommend here.

Summary: Great location within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and sights of the town with paid parking available just around the corner. Fabulous room and a lovely garden to sit out in of an evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious.

Summary: Mostly very good, but soap dispensers bolted to the wall where they could not be reached from the bath. Just plain stupid.

Summary: Lovely stay that ticked every box. The room was comfortable and very homely. Check-in was really easy and the room was ready early. We took the breakfast option and it didn't disappoint. You could just tell all the ingredients were quality and the service was too. Would definitely recommend staying and I'm sure we'll stay again in charming Shrewsbury.

Summary: The stay was perfect, loved the honesty bar and breakfast! The bed was very comfortable. Quiet at night and staff were so helpful. As a solo traveller I felt very safe here and well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. Will be back again!

Paul May 18, 2026 01:59:57 AM
Summary: Perhaps one the best hotel breakfasts I've had, the breakfast menu was fantastic and the bacon was to die for. The staff at reception and in the dining room were lovely. The room was clean and tidy. It was a single so a little small and wherever you put the chair it was in the way. But great place, great location. Will definitely be back.
