Positive: This is a beautiful little cottage , in a lovely area

Negative: The property really wasn't very clean at all, nappies from previous guests lying under cupboards, thick dust and cobwebs, woodburner was filled with old ash, bath was so bad that I didn't dare try it, even tried to clean it myself but the jets are grimey and moldy, the upstairs seems invested with ladybugs (not the worst, but showering with them is not something I ever intended to experience), things like the dishwasher lacked simple maintainence, meaning it really didn't wash or clean things well at all, meaning I still ended having to hand-wash all the dishes, which is where the old grimey dish rack was also just gross, the hand soap in the bathroom was watered down. The main bedroom had the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever laid on, and the sofa is just as bad (not somewhere for anyone who may struggle with back pain)

Positive: The property was excellent. It had everything we need . Well the bed what can I say I didn’t want to come out from the bed as it was so comfortable. The place was clean.

Negative: There’s nothing that we didn’t like as the property was excellent.

Summary: The village omg they were very friendly and the pubs special the crown food to die for .

Positive: The house was very well equipped with everything you could need and more. It was a lot bigger inside than it looked in the pictures. The lovely garden was an added bonus. Beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are spacious with good storage. Good powerful shower and plenty of hot water. The village was very nice too.

Positive: Darwen is a lovely authentic cottage. The bathroom was excellent, beds were comfortable. Great kitchen facilities. Lovely lounge...having the fire was really great. Nice long garden and despite the weather we managed to sit out a couple of times.

Negative: The freezer being in the shed was a bit of a pain and it was off when we arrived. That's about it really! Oh actually the gas hob kept ticking (stuck igniter) when using.
