Positive: Exceptional The view of the Atlas Mountains is wonderful, with a small balcony overlooking the peaks and a beautiful terrace at the top. The place is very clean and offers a truly authentic rural experience, far from the chaos and crowds of Imlil. The traditional Moroccan homemade food was absolutely delicious—memorable and worthy of a Michelin star. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, providing plenty of blankets to keep us warm during the cold nights. Our 9-year-old son loved the experience, which made the stay even more special. An unforgettable stay.

Positive: Wonderful stay in a peaceful mountain village Our room at Dar Tamatert had a small terrace with stunning mountain views. The guesthouse is perfectly located in the heart of Tamatert village, a charming and peaceful place, even more beautiful and tranquil than Imlil. The room was very clean, warm, and comfortable with heating. The breakfast was excellent, and the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, making our stay feel truly special and authentic.

Positive: The staff, mainly Najet, was very friendly and made us feel at home. The view from our bedroom balcony was exceptional. It’s probably the best location if you want to be immersed in the mountains vibe.

Negative: The access can a bit challenging for somebody with mobility issues due to the stairs.

Summary: Simply unforgettable. The best location to access the many trails.

Positive: This is a very exceptional place. This is a family run guesthouse. The owners are super welcoming so that at the same time as providing all the comforts of a hotel, you also feel like you are being welcomed into the family as a friend. This combination together with the beauty of the location made this an absolute highlight of our visit to Morocco
