Positive: + this place is great! its a hidden gem in Atlas mountain + in this place road ends, you cant go more far rest on your foot! + this is where adventure starts, house in the old berber mountain village turned into hostel / hotel + food is great, rooms are small but very comfy, everything is clean + Mohamed is also great cook, host and tour guide if you want to set to explore peaks of Atlas
Negative: - even though description in email how to get to hotel is clean it could be confusing for someone and even more that there is not signal in Dar Megdaz, be prepared to ask around :) people will help you.

Positive: The property was amazing, they make sure you are well taken care of and have everything you need. Truly an amazing experience I would recommend to anyone. If you go out there remember that you can plan guided hikes through the mountains with Mohammed. Very much worth it!

Positive: We had such a great stay at Dar Megdaz. Mohamed went out of his way to take care of us. A story by way of example: two days before our stay, we found ourselves too tired to complete our hike to the hotel where we planned to stay the night before coming to Dar Megdaz. On a whim, I contacted Mohamed to see if he could arrange car transport. At the time, we had no idea what we were asking of him. It turned out that part of the road he had to travel was almost completely impassable by car--it was on a rocky creek bed and over steep, unpaved hills. We could not believe that Mohamed came, as he had said he would. He didn't even ask for payment but said guests were like family. And that's just how we felt every moment of our time at Dar Megdaz. Beyond the OUTSTANDING staff, Dar Megdaz is so lovely and comfortable. We appreciated the delicious and beautifully presented food, the serene covered outdoor patio overlooking the mountains, and the quiet, cool room--it was the heat of summer but our room in the basement stayed very cool. We also enjoyed Mohamed's tour of this picturesque Berber village. Cannot recommend this place more highly.

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready with a smile and eager to ensure I had everything I needed. It’s clear they take great pride in what they do, and it really makes a difference. The food? Simply amazing! Every dish I tried was packed with flavor and authenticity. Positive: We were a group of 4 friends crossing the High Atlas by foot! After we slept a few days in mountain shelters and caves we made it to Megdaz and it felt like heaven! Mohammed picked us up with a car and brought us to Dar Megdaz. And it was like heaven for us. Mohammed is such a nice person, he showed us around the village and explained us every part of Berber culture. His mother cooked for us and we had the most delicious food of all our Morocco trip. Mohammed and his family are so warm and friendly people! And the guest house was really beautiful, the terrace with a nice view and the comfy beds. If you come to the High Atlas, Dar Megdaz should be a priority on the list for you!

Positive: This stop has been one of the highlights of our trip. Mohamed and his family are very welcoming and take good care of the guests. The location is great, we did a hike before sunset and enjoyed all of the magnificent views in and around Megdaz. In the morning Mohamed showed us the town. Food was delicious.
