Positive: The hotel is typical marockan with a rustic touch on it. We got a nice family room on the top floor with 2 balconies overlooking the pool and the mountains. The kids enjoyed the pool during the days (it was a bit cold but nice). It’s located a bit up on the hill but very central and close to all shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay!

Negative: It’s a bit old and need a bit of maintenance. I would rate it as a week 3 star. Chairs were broken at the pool area etc.

Positive: Dar Imlil was a great start to our break in Morocco. There as a delay in our driver collecting us from the airport the hotel manager sorted it for us and despite arriving much later than expected, the fire was roaring and a gorgeous hot meal was waiting. The staff were amazing and we couldn't have asked for a move enjoyable visit.

Negative: Nothing to add here

Summary: Beautiful setting that Id love to revisit in warm weather,to enjoy the pool as well as the mountains

Positive: The location of the hotel was perfect as it was next to the river and had wonderful views of the mountains. The weather was mixed whilst we were there but the hotel set up meant we were able to be cosy by the wood burning stove in the evening and then get out on the terrace when the sun came out. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Some lovely stalls in the village to buy walnuts, almonds and figs.

Positive: Wow, we loved this traditional Dar in Imlil. The staff are the friendliest of people and Essaine Aziam was very helpful with everything we needed. The views are amazing. And the rooms are traditionally decorated, very spacious, super beds. Truly magical.

Negative: The breakfast could have more and healthier options.

Positive: Wonderful laid back atmosphere.. a sort of hostel feel but with the amenities of a hotel.. like home from home .. lots of pleasant indoor and outdoor communal places to sit and read and carry your tea around with you ..great location at the end of the road running through the town -easy access to the shops. Lovely, intelligent staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Organised a great trek for us - no stress- with an excellent guide and a generous packed lunch. Did a vegetarian tagine for us on request. The food is simple and healthy - lots of fruit and vegetables.
