Positive: The location is fantastic, in the middle of the jungle. The lodges (and the restaurant) are beautifully crafted and decorated, like works of art. The staff is extremely friendly, and offers lots of exciting and interesting tours of the impressive nature around the lodge. You can also hike around the area yourself, or climb the observatory tower. The restaurant offers some very tasty dishes.
Negative: We liked everything! While the lodge lacks some facilities (e.g., air conditioning, swimming pool), we liked this "back to nature" vibe a lot.
Summary: Staying in the Danta lodge was a highlight of our Costa Rica tour, we will never forget it!

Positive: fantastic breakfast, great service and setting. Not sure there is any need to travel to Drake Bay when you can drive yourself to this oasis of beauty. We saw Cayman, numerous frogs, monkeys, macaws. Great fixed price 3 course dinner. Lovely dining room setting and amazingly few mosquitos! Rooms are amazing - 'outdoor' bathroom is an experience to love!

Positive: It was magical. Clearly a labor of love. The staff was terrific, the food exceptional, the tours of the highest quality. The craftsmanship - buildings, trails, whimsical sculptures throughout the property - gave the place a unique charm.

Positive: Appreciated the warmth of the hand made wood furniture, bamboo, carvings and hammocks. Comfortable room with small refrigerator great indoor/outdoor bathroom one with nature, little insects and all😊 it’s what it’s about. Friendly staff and delicious food! We enjoyed the trails on property. Would love to return!

Positive: Stayed in the two bedroom bungalow and loved the outdoor bathroom and the large covered verandah, swinging in the hammocks watching squirrel monkeys playing in the trees was magical. Took a night to adjust to night time noises especially during a very long and loud thunderstorm. The staff were amazing, friendly and professional. Food was excellent and great value. Marked trails were good, a little muddy after the rain, and the view from the Outlook was stunning. Felt really immersed in the rainforest but not too remote. Loved the ethos of the lodge and the main building is stunning. The perfect end to our time in Costa Rica.
Negative: Could do with some cushions or soft furnishings as wooden furniture not necessarily that comfortable to relax on especially when hammocks got soaked in the rain. With no air-conditioning, a pool would be nice to cool off in.

Positive: Amazing lodge in the heart of a tropical rainforest. Lots of clearly marked trails and a very impressive tower for bird watching. The wooden floors and furniture in the cabins and the communal areas are beautiful. Delicious local food with very generous portions. We did a night tour and saw an incredible variety of wildlife. The room with its outdoor bathroom was stunning and it was an incredible experience waking up to the sound of howler monkey and toucans.
Summary: A very special place where you really do feel immersed in nature
