Summary: we had a great holiday there the local shops were fine. the local puds were fine. it was only a short journey to all the good spots and the walks on the Dale's where brilliant. Durham and whitby are also close enough to enjoy days looking around and doing a bit of shopping there. there was plenty of places to stop for tea or a beer, and good eating places in the countryside. we would recommend it if that is what you wanted to do for your holiday

Summary: We enjoyed our relaxing holiday. The cottage is in a good location and had a lovely atmosphere. The owners were friendly and welcoming, as were the ponies which were amazing to watch, galloping around the fields. We hope to visit again.
