Tea Tree Cottage is an elevated, pole-framed structure, nestled in the foothills of the majestic Thornton Peak; this mountain (1374 metres), sacred to the traditional owners, the Kuku Yalanji, and shrouded with mystery and legend, dominates the Daintree rainforest skyline.
Tea Tree Cottage, located midway between the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation (20 mins north), in an area of the Daintree Coast renowned for its biodiversity and uniqueness as a refuge for rare, ancient and endemic flora and fauna, is an ideal base for exploring the World Heritage-listed rainforest, the Daintree National Park and, the somewhat underplayed jewels of the Daintree Coast, the quiet, secluded and pristine beaches.
Flowing from the open-plan kitchen, dining and living rooms is a large, easterly-facing verandah providing expansive views across the Daintree Rainforest. The cottage takes further advantage of its elevated position by harnessing sea breezes enhanced by the anabatic influence of Thornton Peak.

Summary: The house is lovely and as we expected. It’s really charming, well looked after and we’ll stocked with cooking equipment. We have dogs and it was well suited for them too. Only negative is you get a bit of local road noise, but not much.

Summary: Great property right beside the forest in the Daintree. Easy access to the main road to Cape Trib. Fantastic layout and a huge deck to enjoy the sun setting.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoy our eco friendly stay at Tea Tree Cottage. Kerry went above & beyond in accommodating us & communicating with us before & during our stay. The kids loved their stay in a 'tree house' (their words) & we loved everything; the quality of the house, kitchenware, linen etc, the enormous deck, the smooth handcrafted timber serveries, the undercover parking & the sounds of the rain in the rainforest through the gigantic windows. We were way too relaxed to miss the dishwasher, hairdryer, iron, toaster & dryer - it even encouraged us to be more aware and considerate of our environmental footprint. A perfect place for anyone willing to embrace the Daintree & respect the environment. Thank you.
