Cottagestyahoola. You found the perfect dahlonega vacation cottage! Location, location, location! the cottage has the best of both a rural mountain getaway, and the convenience of beingclose to all the popular tourist locations in the area.

The cottage is less than 5 minutes from the downtown square, tourists attractions, and restaurants. Wineries, hiking in the national forest, and kayaking and moreare all within 15 minutes from our location.

If a quiet getaway is more what you crave, the cottage sits on a beautiful 1 acre lot nestled in the mountains, sitting directly on the yahoola creek. Enjoy beautiful close up Mountain views on your deckor sit creeekside on your private beach and relax by a fire while listening to the rushing sounds of the creek. Or relax in our 4 seater hot tub while watching the stars at night.

The cottage is full of amenities and extras to make your stay both enjoyable and an experience to remember. Inside, we’ve taken great effort to make you feel right at home. This newly remodeled (2024) cottage has all new everything! Warm and welcoming, you’ll always find a clean and comfortable nook to relax and unwind. Staying in? The cottage has Roku tvs in every room, a large dvd library (complete with popcorn), Bluetooth speakers on the deck, and a kitchen with bar area that keeps meal time social. When you’re ready to wind down for the evening, you’ll rest peacefully on our new mattresses and bedding. If you’restaying longer you’ll find our full laundry room helpful.

Outside the cottage there’s lots to enjoy on property. When you’re done taking in the Mountain View from the deck take a stroll down the hill to your very private off grid river deck. Here you’ll be able to really appreciate the beauty of the yahoola creek, while sitting on our covered deck. Solar powered lighting, Bluetooth speaker system and phone chargers keep the fun going all day or night. Your creek side natural dug fire pit is the perfect way to enjoy stargazing at night. Fishing? Tubing? Gold prospecting? You can do it all on property, and we even offer additional self service rentals in the cottage to make those experiences great.
The cottage is dog and child friendly. Your dog will love running free in the creek, and kids will love finding mom or dad that special rock or gemstone they find in the river bed, or floating on a tube in the river current. The cottage offers some basic pet supplies including a kennel, gated deck, dog bowls, and towels especially for your dog. the cottage isn’t child proofed, so kids 5 years old or older are recommended. There is a $50 pet fee and only one dog allowed.

The driveway in is an easement and gravel. It does not require a 4x4 but it can be bumpy at times especially after a storm.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The house was actually much bigger and more spacious than the pictures lead on. Our pup loved the huge yard and playing in the creek. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Summary: I love the cabin, very clean,cozy property was beautiful creek was stunning- hot tub was great -Lori was very easy to contact if needed and responded quickly with any questions I had - my only concern was there were so many cameras driving into property it gave me a strange feeling and the neighbors dog barked constantly- but nothing you can do about that — would consider staying again .

Summary: The place was spotless with a great bed downstairs. It was so comfortable. I found everything I needed. Loved the hot tub. I came to buy a house in area and found one. I would recommend this property to anyone. You can even tube here at the little creek. Walmart, Zaxby's, chick filet are 6 mins and yahoola creek and lake reservoir trail parks are very close, less than 8 mins. The property owners are awesome and accommodating!!

Summary: My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We wanted a quiet place with a waterfront creek. This place was perfect for us. The owners have done a great job on the remodeling. Beautiful and clean. The back deck was very nice and the hot tub made our stay even better. Even the mattress was comfortable. We definitely hope to go back in the future.

Summary: This creekside cottage was wonderful. Location was close to town yet secluded. The creek was a lot bigger than expected. Games and puzzles for the whole family. Enjoyed the Rokus in each room. Also enjoyed the roaming rooster and hen. The gnomes were cute and gave us a good laugh. May be small but what set this place apart that a lot of other places don’t have was the coat hooks and toothbrush sets. Loved being able to hang up our coats out of the way. Communication with Lori was excellent and she’s accommodating .This place has it all
