Positive: Location was great and they allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel even after we checked out which was appreciated. The room had been nicely renovated as well.

Negative: Service was just okay and there was no refrigerator in the room.

Positive: Good location. Had a complimentary van to ferry us from Alishan Transport Centre to the hotel. Transparent and clear cut policy: can choose to add on and hotel will accommodate to your needs, eg. NT300 for late check out

Negative: Only 1 ventilation vent in the room, walls were thin.

Summary: Good for short stays but not families

Positive: Location inside the recreational park Helpful reception staff More than 1 English speaking tv channel Reception knew how to speak English Shuttle bus back to the entrance where we caught the bus was offered.

Negative: No aircon, felt stuffy at times No mini fridge Towels were way too thin Hot water only after 5 Too many stairs up to main area Breakfast was not at the hotel but in one of the stores up the stairs which wasnt that good anyway Would have been nice to have some sort of drying facility as it rained most of the time we were there Walls were super thin and you could hear everything outside Staying 2 nights was more than enough

Positive: Very big room, staff friendly and efficient, water dispenser available, fridge to use downstairs, room was clean enough, good location

Negative: Could’ve been a tad cleaner in the sink, shower are and around windows - but that’s me being picky. Fridge in room would’ve been nice.

Summary: Ignore comments pre 2026, the hotel has been revamped and is very nice now.

Positive: Close to Alishan train station, but many stairs. Free pick up from train station and free shuttle to bus staion. Helpful reception. They brought us a heater after we complained about the cold room temperature.

Negative: Although the room looks large, there is no place to put a medium size bag, so we had to put them on the floor. Dusty dirty room corners. No refrigirator. No cold and hot drinking water in the room, only in the corridor with Chinese instructions, as miost written information is only in Chinese. Not very fluent English. The reception is just a counter in the corridor. Heating in the room only if outside temperature is below 7° C. When we were there it was 10°, so... Two very uncomfortable chairs, impossible to use without putting one of our pillows first. No curtain in the shower, so the whole floor gets wet. No socket in the bathroom. Very thin towels. 50% prepayment immediately after booking.

Summary: Hotel with 4-star price, but quality lower than 2-star

Positive: Convenient location. It is clustered near the Alishan main visitors’ area and 10 mins walk to the Alishan train station and 5 mins to carpark. Provides hot water, breakfast is outsourced to nearby eatery at the visitors’ center.

Negative: No heating in the room ans electric blanket is provided. It rained heavily in the middle of the night and the entire window was dripping with water condensation. Everything in the room felt cold and moist. I can imagine that mold can easily be present in such conditions.
