Positive: One of our best stay in Sabah. The overall experience was good. The host family is really friendly, they make you feel as though you’re just staying with friends in the country. Beautiful homestead with fish ponds and mini gardens. Come in August if you want to try all the fruits they can offer from their garden. The room and bed is simple but clean and comfortable.

Positive: Incredible place !!! If you want to spent time with typical family form Borneo, it is a place for you. Very friendly and open Owners, and very beautiful house in the huge garden. All fruit trees around, you have a nice terrace and typical quite simple Malaysian cuisine - we were served late dinner when we arrived and breakfast before leaving. I was also provided with big amount of passion fruits just from the tree, when I said that it was my favourite fruit :) We had nice talks with Owners and the family till very late evening. I recommend choosing this place for everybody, who wants to see beautiful Malaysian village and meet very friendly people. But if you look for luxury, it is not a place for you.

Positive: Very hearty family, took perfect care of us, drove us around for very good price and communicated very good and steady. Meals cooked by the mother were delicious. We could pet cats and dogs. It was I think the cleaniest accommodation in Sabah :) Dont hesitate to contact them even if they seem to be fully booked! They can send you more info on how to get there by bus from Kota Kinabalu.

Negative: Some of the taps were leaking, as well as the flushing water input of one toilet. Just a heads up.

Summary: Simply a must if you're near.

Positive: The property is beautiful. The open air kitchen/dining area means you can have breakfast/dinner with stunning views. There are lots of fruit trees (rambutan, dragonfruit, jackfruit) that meant we had fresh fruit with our meals. We even got to try picking our own rambutan! The rooms are basic but comfy and everything we needed. The family however, is the best thing about this place. They are so welcoming, provided us with transport to and from poring hot springs as well as to and from the bus stop. It was great to be able to enjoy wonderful conversations during dinner and breakfast as they sat down with us, which we really liked. They also helped us book our bus tickets out of Ranau, which proved hard to do by ourselves online. We were sad that we only stayed one night!
