Negative: The sink had a water problem/leak, we were offered to stay in the castle but as it had stairs and we had dogs and I cannot climb stairs it was unsuitable. We had had to cancel a booking for 10 earlier and gave plenty of notice but no offer of a refund or even partial refund despite us rebooking and having a faulty bathroom sink.

Positive: The location is phenomenal with amazing views everywhere you look. Great outdoor space with fabulous ironmongery that enhances the feel of this property. Very spacious accomodation especially as no windows but no claustrophobic feelings. Very comfortable bed. Amazing light projector & luminous 'planets' on ceiling of the cave made for a very cosy feeling. Loved all the little lighting touches & again, the fabulous ironworks for lighting. The pellet fire was fabulous.

Negative: On arrival met by very friendly staff who told us there was a problem with the plumbing & if we used the jacuzzi style bath not to drain it incase of flooding - this was disappointing as was one of the main reasons of booking & felt they could have communicated this before arrival (they did email arrival procedures). We did use the jacuzzi but the 'spa' features did not work. The staff also did not mention the leak from behind the sink (ice bucket jammed in-between pipes) which made quite a flood & would have meant wading through water had we not utilised the living room mat & towels to soak this up - quite hazardous when going to use the toilet. Most of the electrics were a bit haphazard & detracted from the feel of the cave. I'd agree with a previous comment about maybe reviewing the size of the dining facility in order to have some kind of storage for clothing. A little confusing having to switch off main lighting from outside but thd bedside lamps did provide enough light when they worked. Overall I would say this is a work in progress to achieve the luxury details they advertise for this quirky, lovely accomodation.
