Summary: Breakfast had very little cooked food available. Waited for nearly 15 minutes before someone came to ask what we needed? Bacon, eggs might be a good idea! Pastry options were not fresh and were hard. If I stay again I won’t be eating breakfast at the hotel. Shocking. Room was ok but if you have the AC on then the room is lit up with by the LED. Was ok but not sure I’d stay there again.

Summary: Arrived at the room and the sofa bed had not been made up despite a child booking. Two showers in the bathroom and both were barely usable. The cubicle was a trickle and Luke warm at best and the bath shower was scolding hot and the cold tap didn't work to cool it down. When we went to bed there was a beam of light coming from the door and shining right across your face, making it very difficult to get to sleep. Even the light from the peephole shone a circle on the wall just above the bed. It was awful when you want to relax. Genuinely disappointed in the room and the breakfast could have been much better. We often stay near Kegworth and this was our first time at the Crowne Plaza. Maybe we were really unlucky with our room and hard cornflakes, but as things stand I won't be planning to stay there again. Staff were all lovely though and the rest of the hotel looked very nice. Need to work on the important details though I'm afraid.

Summary: My room was through a labyrinth of corridors where it felt quite cold and damp. Shower wasn't fit for anyone over 5'6" or those that may have had a large breakfast. The main hotel area is lovely though.

Summary: The welcome was warm, friendly and efficient by Maya. The room was excellent, Elemis products always a bonus! The gym is great and pool now open. Breakfast was good, but could have done with a better choice of cheeses. Waiting staff excellent.

Summary: The hotel is dated. Old infrastructure and it is a bit odd that Level 2 and level 3 have only about 5 feet difference but that didnt cause us much inconvenience. Biggest issue was plumbing and bathrooms in the hotel. I was given a room wherein the shower was rusted and water pressure dismal. I couldn't get any water through the shower head. On complaint, I was given a second room which had a seperate shower but an electric shower head. I made mistake of using it and either it blasted ice cold or super hot water. A few minutes later, I realised the toilet seat was broken. I went to the reception to complaint and was told that the hotel is fully booked and they cant do much about it at the hour. To be fair, staff was polite and as compensation offered me free breakfast but in his own words - it didnt remediate the original issue. When I am paying £150+ for a night, I expect a clean, functioning bathroom and toilet and not £15 free breakfast. After my return, I provided the feedback vai the IHG feedback request (Did I mention I am a member of their rewards scheme) and their response was: Points noted but were not our fault because we expect previous guests to report the issue. It wasnt reported to them before i checked in and they didnt feel responsible for all the faults.... Really??? DO you expect previous guests to report old creaking infrastructure and broken toilets? Well, your wish was granted just now!

Summary: Hotel was okay apart from the latch on the bedroom door being faulty. A little distressed about it as it was the day I checked in. I locked the door ready to settle down for the evening, but remembered that I had left something in my car. As I tried to exit the room the latch was stuck and had to phone reception who sent someone to break me out. The saving grace is that I needed to leave the room and that it did not happen during a fire! They did move me to another room unfortuantely it felt like it was a step down from the one I was in. (It was smaller)
