Positive: Having the beach and ocean out your door was amazing. Couldn’t believe place like this at a reasonable price still exist.

Negative: Road traffic is a bit noisy.

Positive: No breakfast provided. We stayed here because it’s right on the beach & it’s where we spent one night on our honeymoon, 58 years ago! So, it’s a very old place & although it appears it has been adequately maintained, it still shows its age. If you want to pay a bit extra for a motel on the beach (awesome!) that is aged, worn, & NOT squeaky-clean, this could be for you.

Negative: Check in process was strange. The man at the counter sat quietly staring at his computer screen & barely acknowledged my presence (I was the only customer in the lobby). He muttered something unintelligible & I waited in several for minutes silence, hoping he was dealing with my check-in. Finally got it done but seemed like I was a nuisance to him. At one point he said, “So you booked this on booking.com (?)”. Note: Door locks are 1960’s-style with motel key that’s probably original. Sliding glass door to ocean “locks” old fashioned way by placing wooden dowel inside door frame (to block slider from completely opening). A little “Bates Motel” vibe here.🤔😂

Negative: Update the facilities some, or just regular maintenance. Door hard to close, no plug or toggle for bathtub, etc. No phone or small fridge, crusty bathroom window. Almost $270 paid for 1 week night
