Positive: I love unique places like this. They have a lot of personality! I wanted to stay near Chinatown without the insanity of C-Town. This place was perfect plus it's very close to all of the cool things in Talat Noi and the ferry. There's food options everywhere and a 7-11 down the street. You can walk to C-Town, the MRT, the train station and to the ferry station. It's very well located! But the best thing was the room and the owners of the cafe. The room is HUGE and the large bed is very comfortable. There's a sofa with an enormous TV (I never used it), a fridge, great lighting, a side chair and even a small balcony (too noisy to use, really). The facing street does have a lot of traffic so if that kind of noise bothers you, bring some earplugs for sleeping. You have a private bathroom, but it is at the opposite end of the hall. I wasn't bothered by this at all, but if you're fussy about these things, you should note this detail. The owners are super nice and the included breakfast was delicious! Obviously the coffee was amazing, but I also appreciated my choices for breakfast. I told them I wanted to try local dishes, not Western and every morning they would suggest something different for me. So, I got to try a lot of things I would've have never ordered otherwise. You have the freedom to come and go, but this is their business and home, so you'll have to lock up the gate after hours.

Negative: It was not obvious where to go as there's a gate across the storefront when the cafe closes in the early evening. When I arrived they were closed, it was dark, it was raining and the signage was nearly invisible. I was lucky that my Grab taxi driver called the number for me to find out how to enter. Locking and unlocking the storefront was a bit nerve wracking the first time. I didn't want to get it wrong and risk having the storefront not secured!!! After that it was fine and nice they trust their guests with the keys.

Positive: Located in a really cozy neighbourhood (Talat Noi) - historic and quite local, yet there are also some cool hipster bars and coffee places, and chinatown is nearby. Not that many tourists around (yet!), which I really liked. Very clean, spacious (high ceilings) and nicely decorated room, with a good AC. It's located on top of a coffee place and run by a family - everyone were always super sweet and friendly :) Lovely simple breakfast every morning. And since it's a coffee place, the breakfast comes with the most amazing coffee! I really enjoyed my stay!

Negative: You can hear some traffic noise, but it's to be expected in Bangkok (that city never sleeps) - however it did not disturb me personally.

Positive: We arrived around 12am and they hid the key for us somewhere. The breakfast was always delicious and the staff were so friendly. We had lots of space in our room, we had a nice big tv which we used every night to watch netflix. The bed was sooooo comfortable. There's a laundry and money exchange just across the road. MRT station was approx 15min walk.

Negative: Just the stairs was hard when taking our luggage up and down but all good

Positive: Great sized room, feel like shophouse living. Family who run the store are super friendly and made us feel so comfortable. The coffee is excellent too. Walking distance to Hualamphong, Song Wat, Yaowarat, Talat Noi and several ferry stops if you want to head in to the old town.

Negative: Nothing at all. I noticed other people complaining about the noise but if you want to stay on Bangkok’s first and oldest road close to Talat Noi you have to expect traffic noise. Welcome to Bangkok.

Positive: A giant room, with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, TV and good wifi, and practically an entire floor to yourself - what more could you need? Talat Noi is a really nice area, the vibe is relaxed, and the The Coffee Store is a cute shop with good coffee and lovely owners/family who are happy to share some places to visit/give advice if you seek it. From the area, it's only a 10 minute walk to Chinatown, and less than 10 minutes to the MRT. There are lots of street food options around, as well as some higher tier restaurants and bars close by. Several convenience stores all within a 4 minute walk. I will absolitely return next time I'm in Bangkok.

Negative: Everything was super nice, only downside is the bathroom is outside of room, but it is private, so no problems there for me! You also enter your room through the main entrance of The Coffee Store and go up some indoor stairs to your room, once again, not a problem for me and I enjoyed it, but if you want to never talk to anyone/super private, might not be the ideal place.

Positive: The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and situation in a great location. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. I didn’t know it came with breakfast, so it was a lovely surprise to wake up to wholesome food and amazing coffee.

Negative: It’s situated on a main street where there are vehicles passing by all day and night. It can get quite noisy as the building has poor sound isolation.

Summary: Incredible space on top of a cafe :)

Positive: The property is at a great location if you enjoy the history of old Bangkok. There’s never a dull moment as you walk around. There are also a lot of hip cafes and bars in the neighbourhood. I loved the vibe. The room is very big. Trust me, hotel rooms are never this big. There’s a massive TV although I didn’t spend much time watching it.

Negative: I had no problem with this but just a heads up - the bathroom is not connected to the room. It’s not a shared bathroom, it’s all yours, but you have to walk across the hallway to access it.

Summary: Super chill vibes, highly recommended if you’ve been to BKK a few times
