Your vacation starts here ! Live the simple life up north. Slow down and enjoy. Our two-bedroom, one-bath quaint 1930’s cottage can sleep 4-6 guests. One bedroom contains two single person beds and the other has a queen bed. If you happen to have 2 additional guests, there is a choice of a pull-out queen bed in either shared space. You can wake up to the morning sunrise overlooking the lake with a cup of tea or coffee. Sip it on the indoor porch or at the picnic table on the patio. There is over 100 feet of lake frontage that you can spend lazy days basking in the sun, fishing off the dock or canoeing with the kids kayaking. We are on Hart Lake (also known as Little Silver Lake). It’s an all sports lake with gradual depth so it’s great for kids. Enjoy the fire out, with Adirondack chairs around. Have some s’mores or make a whole meal over the fire. Make family memories for a lifetime. Manistee National Forest is just up the road for hiking and biking. The cottage is centrally located for those who wish to visit Cedar Point’s Michigan’s Adventure. Muskegon state parks, and the farmers market located downtown with small retail shops to explore like the famous “Cheese Lady”. We also are close to are restaurants, golf courses, disc golf, wineries, and breweries, shopping, grocery stores, theaters, and close to the Blue Lake fine art camp. The cottage has all the amenities of home with fresh linens, bath/beach towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. We have high speed internet (Xfinity) to work away from home or Apple TV for those who are wanting just to stay and relax. The cottage is a wonderful place to kick back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It was built in 1935 and had some upgrades done. Hope we see you soon to share our little slice of heaven. The best way to get into the cottage is from the door that faces the lake. Park to the right of the cottage.

Summary: Wanted a place to relax from day-to-day stress, this is just the place quiet, did what I love to do is fish, and sit down and watch the water. This place was bigger than expected, I thought it was smaller love the open space with the rockers to look out the window and have a cup of coffee. Love that they had plenty of fishing supplies and a small boat to fish on, and plenty of kayaks, Plenty of sleeping place, I loved everything the view was wonderfull, If you want a place thats quite and have fun this the kids this is a perfect spot away from everthing.

Summary: Excellent location with the perfect up north cabin feel. Clean and cozy. Loved the lake view and the fire pit. Owner supplied everything but food and beverage. Beds were SOFT, too soft for our old bones. Bedding was amazing and there were plenty of blankets to make up the beey comfy pull out

Summary: Communication, check in and out, and location were perfect. The stairs down to the lake were steap, and dock were a bit shaky but it didn't matter to the kids, they had a blast and that's what matters. The cabin had just about everything we needed and the AC was icy cold! Perfect for the hot summer days.

Summary: Everything about this rental was perfect. It was so clean and well taken care of. The host has made sure we had everything we needed including firewood, kayaks, life jackets, outdoor games, fishing supplies, bug spray, beach towels. My teens were so happy with the kayaks and the peaceful lake. We played ladder ball and enjoyed campfires. We also visited Lake Michigan and Michigan’s Adventure. So relaxing. Things some people might see as downsides - though I didn’t - is the bedrooms and kitchen are small (original 1935) and the swimming area is not really built up much. Our kids went out into the water and there was a floaty pad, but it was weedy. Once again nothing bad as far as we were concerned, but some might not like it. We loved our stay and would love to visit again

Summary: This was a perfect weekend getaway! We loved the amenities-kayaks (life jackets available), the dock, fishing poles, air conditioning…lots of games…. I could go on and on. It’s a quiet little area. The host was wonderful and answered the question I had before staying very quickly. I would highly recommend the host and this cottage if you are looking in this area! We would love to come back.
