The lodge is located in the park-like garden of our estate and offers a lot of privacy and tranquility for visitors.
The lodge is tastefully decorated in American country style and has the following layout:
a cozy seating area with, among other things, a. a 2-person sofa, an armchair, a rocking chair and a breakfast bar;
you sleep in the romantic box bed for 2 people;
the kitchen is fully equipped: a gas hob, a combi microwave and a fridge / freezer combination;
a neat bathroom with a toilet, shower and a sink;
in front of the lodge is the porch, where you can have a nice breakfast or relax.
The entire room can be heated by the wood-fired pot heater (or possibly an electric radiator)
The sauna is located opposite the lodge.

Summary: We had a very nice time in Rita and Johns little cabin. It is bigger than we expected from the pictures, so enough space. We loved the oven to heat up on colder days and also everything was there for cooking in the kitchen. There are chicken welcoming you in the mornings and the area invites you to biking and hiking to the bigger cities around Tinte. We recommended it to our friends already.

Summary: Warm, cosy & great hospitality. We spend a week here during Xmas. This is how the old settlers must have felt! Will be back during warmer days, fishing is the thing than! Thanks a lot Rita, (& husband for towing us out of the mud....)

Summary: We spent one week in the beatiful lodge, during early september 2012. We enjoyed it a lot and would come back at any time! Here are the reasons: The Landgoed is a beatiful green and quiet place, a bit park like and a bit like you would imagine a little farm some decades ago in the United States. John and Rita are really passionate about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, that invites you to relax spend some perfect days. We were very lucky with the weather and did many bike trips through the surrounding nature. But even if it should rain during your stay, there is a lot of stuff to do! Starting with the perfect Finnland style Sauna. Also the lovely little towns close by can be visited, or you take a walk along the beatiful broad beach of Rockanje. Even spending the whole day in the lodge can be an option, if it`s cold you can light a fire and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. The only people we would not recommend this place to, are those who don`t like to have a close-to-nature vacation, than this is the wrong place for you. But if you do like nature, it is just perfect! You will hear a crowing rooster, see some chickens and a goat. The lodge is perfect for two people, there are two more beds underneath the roof, but they are not as perfect as the little cabin bed downstairs. The lodge will provide you with everything you need for cooking, the kitchen is well equipped and we didn´t miss a thing we needed. Summary: We were greeted by Rita on a rather windy horrible evening, but once we stepped into the cottage it was warm and lovely. We were excited to see the cottage and the cottage looked even better in life than pictures. Rite was really helpful and she showed us everything and even left some wine, chocolate, bread, egg and candles. She also left a booklet in which everything around the cottage was explained. From how to use the shower to how to use the tv. The booklet was really helpful. The garden in which the cottage was in was beautiful me and my boyfriend took the time to investigate the garden and it was nothing but beautiful. Although i recommend you hire a car for your stay there, as a lot of the shops and inner village life is far away. A bike would be useful too. We throughly enjoyed out stay here, mainly we enjoyed being away from the city and enjoying the country side. This place is great to just get away from everything. We would defiantly visit rockanji again.

Summary: We arrived not really knowing what to expect having driven past the industrial areas of Europort and Rotterdam. On arrival we had a warm welcome from Rita who showed us the cottage and suana and explained how to light the wood burning stove to ensure cosy Spetember evenings. We (2 of us) had all we needed and stocked up on provisions in Brielle, about 4 Km away. We rented the bikes and explored the area, visiting small towns that Rita suggested, ate some good bar food at lunchtimes and generally returned to watch the sun go down and / or enjoy a sauna in the garden. The cottage was great for us - we wanted a peaceful week with the opportunity to get out and about and see the surrounding area and that is what we got. Rita and John were helpful and friendly but left us to ourselves and we have no hesitation in recommending this destination to people seeking a similar experience. Highlights - the sauna, peace and quiet and sitting on the deck, watching the stars.

Summary: We loved this lodge, which is cosy with lots of extra touches and attention to detail. I’d fallen in love with it from the pictures and the reality was even better. The lodge is surprisingly spacious and well equipped with a small kitchen, modern shower room, sitting area and wood burning stove. There are two single beds in the loft and a double ‘box bed’ in the living room - ideal for a small family. Added extras included wifi, sauna and a very nice welcome tray. The grounds are amazing and we had use of the garden and extensive grounds which include a lake, ponds and a small wood. Picnic tables were available by the lake and in the garden and there were seating areas all over the grounds to take advantage of the fantastic scenery. Our daughter enjoyed, as did we, exploring the grounds and visiting the friendly geese, goats and chickens. The farm is located within easy cycle ride of Rockanje and Brielle and we cycled most days despite the rather rainy August. Rockanje has a beautiful but windy beach and Brielle is a lovely old town with shops and cafes. Rita and John were very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome yet giving us our privacy. We had the place to ourselves really - unless we needed something and then they couldn’t have been more helpful. We definitely want to come back.
