Positive: Cowlings was the ideal place for a family break in beautiful Swaledale. The property was spacious, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean when we arrived. Communication with the hosts was easy and they responded very quickly when we ran out of matches. The weather threw us a bit of everything during our stay but Cowlings was cozy and warm, with a wood stove and blankets for wrapping up. We cooked meals, went for walks and spent time on the front terrace - gorgeous views during the day and excellent stargazing at night. We had a brilliant time and can't recommend Cowlings highly enough.

Negative: Can't think of anything that could make the house better.

Summary: A lovely old cottage in beautiful Swaledale, perfect for a short break.

Positive: The cottage was really nice with that proper countryside feel. The location was superb, the views from the bedroom/garden are really something. Hosts were really nice and friendly. Close to a lot of the popular walking areas.
