A secret place where you climb the wooden staircase to the large Juliet balcony overlooking the property and relax amongst the hustle of trees offering the guests a sense of tranquility and magical energy. Come and make timeless memories at this rejuvenating magical retreat on 2 acres in the midlands of the south. Animals who are pet and people friendly are always welcome. The cottage tree house is located on a wooded lot on over 2 acres, and is 3.5 miles from Congaree National park. Enjoy the unique solitude of the sound of the birds and peaceful serenity while giving up none of the amenities. Full walk in rain shower and private bath with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Enjoy your meals with an indoor to outdoor dining area and WiFi. We do allow pets however they are not allowed on the furniture and there is a pet fee per pet. We offer breakfast for 20$pp during your stay. The property has ring cameras. We live on the property so check in is simple . Park in designated parking area and you may go right in, it is unlocked a key is provided for you to lock up when you leave the property. Lock the bottom door handle from the inside and shut the door. If you take the key there is a 50$ charge. Upon checkout make sure your dishes are done, garbage is taken out to the blue garbage can by the fire pit and the mini splits are off.

Bug and wildlife info: Our place is located in a wooded hot and humid environment that is teeming with wildlife, including the creepy crawly kind. Depending on the time of the year and weather conditions, Guests may encounter mosquitoes, bees, gnats, moths,stink bugs, ants, spiders, beetles, roaches, ladybugs, lizards, snakes, rodents, armadillos, turtles, birds, frogs and other wildlife on the property. While we do utilize regular pest control services, we are unable to offer any guarantee against or refunds for the occasional critter that may make it inside. We do our best to prevent infestations and guests can help by keeping doors closed and disposing of trash and storing food in a responsible manner.
Guest are responsible for there own children and any damages or injuries of there own children.
Do not put sanitary products or wipes down the drain it will strain the system and guest will be responsible for 250$ plumbing fee. Mini split is set at a comfortable level due not change remote setting as you may cause à freeze or overheat of the system and will be responsible for fees to fix it. No smoking in the home. No outside wood is allowed due to management of the eco system.

Summary: The tree house itself was super cute, unique, and cozy—exactly what I was hoping for in terms of charm and comfort. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything you'd need for a your stay.However, the overall property was quite run down and didn’t match the photos on the listing. I came across broken glass in a couple of areas, and the outdoor furniture and décor were so weather-worn that I didn’t feel comfortable using many of the outdoor amenities. It was disappointing because the space had potential but lacked proper upkeep.Additionally, there were several areas around the property with items piled up or left unattended, which gave parts of the grounds a cluttered and unkempt appearance.The check-in process was also frustrating. After booking, I never received the check-in details from VRBO. It stated to contact your host. When I finally reached the host after several attempts, 45 minutes after arrival, she simply referred me back to the listing, where it was supposedly posted that you just walk in, no code and no key. Keep in mind I looked at over 30 properties before booking this one. I had to go back and search the original listing manually. It would be helpful if the host ensured this information was included in the confirmation or sent separately.That said, the tree house itself was a memorable and cozy retreat. With some attention to property maintenance and a more guest-friendly approach, this could be a truly special getaway spot.

Summary: Our stay at Woodland Gardens was great! We enjoyed our morning coffee and dinner each day out on the porch to enjoy the warm weather. Very close to Congaree National Park and about a 30 min a drive in to Columbia where there are a ton of restaurants and more grocery stores to pick from. Tira was a good communicator and available for questions. Check in/check out was really easy as well. Would stay here again.

Summary: Very clean and easy process. Properly has other rentals but overall it is a very welcoming and homey feel. Was well stocked and comfortable. 12 min drive to the visitor center at Congaree National Park.

Summary: I would not have rented this home for our weekend away without the kids had I known the owner lives onsite, in the rental when it is not occupied and in a camper when it is. May want to update listing accordingly. The bed was torture, so uncomfortable. The one functioning window unit was far from sufficient, hot even in October. Thank goodness it wasn't a Summer trip. The owners kids (I suppose) were hanging out randomly on the lower level and had a party our last night which kept me awake most of the night... not that I could sleep anyway due to the lumpy bed and lack of airflow. $850 for 3 nights of torture... yikes!

Summary: We loved our stay. The home really feels like a home. It's cozy, welcoming, and inviting. It had everything we needed, towels, toiletries, a fully stocked kitchen, and gorgeous spaces for relaxing. The outdoor spaces were our favorites and there are several options to choose from. The covered area downstairs was great for evening meals and unwinding. The upstairs deck was nice and quiet, and right off the living room. The property is nice and level, parking was easy. The owners were very respectful and available, and also gave us plenty of privacy. We loved the proximity to Congaree National Park. We brought kayaks and canoes on a trailer, and the owners gave us the perfect spot to park it. We were there over Memorial Day and the bugs weren't bad. We brought bug repellant and a big fan to keep the mosquitos away and it worked great. What an amazing trip! We had this beautifully decorated home to stay in, we got to visit the park, hikes some trails, paddle Cedar Creek, and enjoy family time together.

Summary: The little home was wonderful and it was so well decorated and cute. The hosts are very accommodating. However, it was quite a ways to find something to eat and we did go there to be able to hike in the park. Unfortunately mother nature brought us rain for the 3 days we were there so we weren't able to do much. It is very cozy and if we get an opportunity to come that way I would definitely stay again.

Summary: So many places to relax, the upstairs deck, the downstairs couches and tables with the cool breeze blowing through the billowing white curtains. Nice place for an event, small wedding, shower or birthday party! Just beautiful!!

Summary: We chose this property due to its proximity to Congaree, but knew we wanted to go into Columbia too. It was nicely located. It was comfortable and had all the things we needed. It did not have soap or shampoo in the shower, but I did forget to mention that to the host so no big deal. I liked the shared patio space downstairs, very inviting. We spent both mornings on the patio (either upstairs or down) and most evenings out there too while our kids roamed around outside and did messy kid things. My kids cried when we had to leave. We would stay here again.
