Summary: This was our second stay at this property and it was great for our needs. The weather wasn’t perfect so our plans had to be adjusted. We really enjoyed visiting Bayeux and cycling along the coast. It was a very comfortable property and well equipped.

Summary: It was a lovely location with a beautiful garden. I felt safe and enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful! The drive to many wonderful attractions was enjoyable. We were greeted after a delayed train and were able to get settled right away. The toilet seat kept falling off. As a woman traveling with my husband and sons, I was the only one who noticed that. The pictures match the beautiful space! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Summary: We loved our short stay at this comfortable property in Normandy. We had stayed in the area before and wanted somewhere near Bayeux and Port-en-Bessin. A big plus was having the recently opened cycle track which we could join from near where we were staying. This meant we were able to use our bikes most days with wonderful views over the nearby coast. A highlight was our guided tour of Bayeux Cathedral which we recommend.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. Great place with style. Enclosed property which is great for dog owners. Patrick, the caretake lives across the road and is not only a great help but also a great person. The location is very nice, quiet, short walk down the beach and close to interesting places like Omaha Beach, Port en Bessin, Bayeux and Caen.

Summary: We stayed for one week. Upon arrival the fireplace was lit, which made it feel very cozy. The house has been stylishly renovated with two bedrooms with three beds. The description is accurate (incl. sauna). There is an electrical car charging point just around the corner (which did not work with Shell recharge card although advertised it would. Not the fault of the property owner). There are two IR lamps for heating in the living room as well, while bedrooms and bathroom have electrical heating. Kitchen includes all necessities. The garden has two levels and sufficient privacy and there is a BBQ as well. The gate is electrical and very convenient. The walk to the the seaside is about 10 minutes downhill. Unfortunately no shops/restaurant in the small village itself, but Port en Bessin is just 4 km away.

Summary: I highly recommend this property. My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in early June during the height of the 75th D-day anniversary commemorations. It was the perfect location for our visit. The house is an old forge recently completely renovated so it is essentially brand new. The large main room on the first floor includes a modern kitchen with everything you need, a small kitchen table, a large dining table, a convertible sofa, cable tv, wi-fi, a wood-burning stove, heating lamps and many great architectural touches. The first floor has a bedroom with a double bed and a modern bathroom, with a washer-dryer. The second floor loft has a double bed and a twin bed. So the property could easily sleep seven. The location is excellent. It is just off the Omaha Beach road (D 514), and it is just a short distance to Omaha Beach in one direction and Port en Bessin in the other, and a half hour from Bayeux. It sits on a side road, Rue Eglise, that goes one mile down past the church to a secluded beach. The property itself sits in an enclosed court with lovely gardens, private parking and an electric gate. The owners, Laurence and Michel, live in the house next door, and Patrick, who takes care of the property, lives right across the street. They were all warm, welcoming and very, very helpful. We found that Port en Bessin, just a few miles away, was a great base for our two-week stay. In particular, the Super U store just off the traffic circle on Omaha Beach Road, had groceries and everything else we needed. Port en Bessin also has many excellent restaurants. In sum, you will love the house, the location and the people. Enjoy!
