Positive: Beautiful, clean house, which has been well taken care of. The private access to the lake was amazing even though it wasn't the best time of the year for swimming. Great for kids/families. We were particularly impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked in terms of utensils and appliances, which made cooking meals with good quality Italian ingredients all the more pleasurable. We also liked staying in Dervio - not so "touristy", but still with lots to offer. The host was always available and willing to help with any queries.

Negative: It's hard to be critical, because it was so great, but I think having the possibility to have a BBQ at the property would make it perfect. Also you'd have to travel at least 20-30 mins by car to reach the nearest big supermarket. Dervio has a couple of convenience stores with limited choice and a little more expensive.

Positive: Really nice and well-equipped house where we did not miss anything. Beautiful and large terrace right above the local beach and another balcony on the second floor. Both with a great view of the lake and sunsets. Our daughter also appreciated the small inner garden with a swing. Private access to the local beach. The beach is beautiful and quite quiet and empty almost all day. Local people are used to visiting this part of the beach regularly. Occasionally there are local youths on the beach, but it's certainly nothing that would fundamentally disturb your holiday. It is definitely not a crowded place, quite the opposite. We loved the two large bathrooms ..... and lots of other great things. One of the best accommodations we have visited so far. Francesco (owner) was also very helpful and kind.

Positive: 1. It is literally in the beach. Or I could say it has its private beach. 2. The place is spacious and comfortable. It has everything that needs for vacation. Coffee, tee, olive oil, water in kitchen; soup and everything you need to wash yourself or your clothes. Even a bike for a ride. 3. The internet was excellent. Kids enjoyed tv. 4. The place is walk distance from restorants and supermarkets. 5. The city is a small one, but it is very close to any other bigger place in Como.

Negative: The place does not have its own parking. But there is plenty in walking distance. Otherwise it is superb.

Positive: We appreciate that Francesco and his father Renato were so helpful and accommodating when we requested extra blankets. The lakeside property is lovely and we truly enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting.

Negative: The upper bed of the bunk bed didn’t have a railing so it didn’t feel safe for an adult or a child to sleep there.

Summary: Our party of four had a very pleasant stay at Francesco’s property.
