Hidden along a classic bluestone laneway, Ascot Vale Cottage is a unique haven.
Nestled in a landscaped garden, the two story cottage encourages luxurious relaxation. From the linen sheets and doona cover on the huge King bed, the luxury towels, the Robert Gordon coffee mugs and the cosy throw rugs, every nook and cranny has a touch of magic.
Make a fresh coffee with the coffee machine, perch on the fabulous deep Wattle Living sofa to catch a favourite movie or indulge in a glass of wine alfresco at the Melton Craft outdoor table setting in your personal cottage garden. Whip up a meal in the fully appointed kitchen, and then dine at the beautifully appointed table. Throw open the French door upstairs and nestle into the big sofa chair with a good book, nestling your toes into the luxurious sheepskin rug. Work creatively on line at the elegant desk in the wrought iron surrounded study nook. Take a long hot shower, and then collect the fresh towels off the heated towel rails.
Ideally appointed for a couple, a group of two or three friends, or a small family, from the second you turn the key in the gate you are home away from home.

The King bed can be split into two king singles, and the Koala Cushy sofa bed upstairs will very comfortably accommodate a third person.

Summary: Great location for trains, trams, groceries and cafés, all just a short walk away. Very attentive and helpful host. Comfortable accommodation with quality kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. A few food staples were provided, such as tea, coffee pods, fresh milk, oats and condiments. Large king bed - firmer than our own but still very comfortable. A pull-out single sofa bed accommodated our young granddaughter during a couple of sleepovers. She loved the little garden and the fish pond!

Summary: My husband and I spent 17 days in the unit and it is close to shopping, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, laundromat, trams, trains. You are close to downtown for all your sightseeing tours, Moonee Ponds shopping, High Point Shopping Centre. The kitchen is well equipped, the house has lots of room and an outdoor space. Contact with Jenny on any issues were promptly responded to.

Summary: Everything was very good, very nice place to stay, good value especially if you’re going to an event at Flemington race course, which we were! Otherwise bit expensive getting cabs into city, Only negative was there was no iron or ironing board which I found a bit strange as it had everything else!
