Positive: The property was perfect for us, especially for the dog, staff were lovely, the only downside was Booking.com advertised the cottage complex with swimming pool, only to discover the swimming pool was 4 miles away and we were asked to pay £6 a swim each, which was really disappointing. Other than that, everything was lovely.
Negative: The fact that Booking.com showed the property with a swimming pool, and only when I asked just before leaving if we definitely had access to the pool, I was told that the pool was 4 miles away in the next village, by then it was too late to cancel, we only booked the cottage because of the swimming pool, as we were going to stay in the Brecon beacons. However, the property itself was lovely and suited us perfectly, the staff all lovely, and we had a very relaxing time. Just felt that this property was misrepresented by Booking.com, and the details need to be updated.
Summary: Very comfortable and had a lovely stay despite the lack of pool!

Positive: The garden, the bedrooms were lovely and it was beautiful location.
Negative: The swimming pool advertised isn’t on the property and is in a community centre which we didn’t know about and had to pay for it. Which was disappointing as that wasn’t mentioned.

Positive: As everyone has said, host Muriel is an absolute gem - so friendly and welcoming. The cottage was beautifully dressed for Christmas, had everything we needed and was very clean and warm. I'm sure we will be back!

Positive: The host was lovely & could not do enough for us. One bed was comfortable, the other two were like rock. Dog friendly. Enclosed garden, which was great. Bowls etc provided. The log burner was heavenly, logs, kindling and paper provided, if you run out, you can purchase more at £10 per bag. You can hear owls at night and with little artificial light, you may be lucky enough to see the stars .
Negative: The children were bitterly disappointed, when there was no pool on site. The photos are misleading and does not explain, that the pool is in the village, 15 minute drive away. There is a charge for this at £6 per adult and £4 per child for 2 hours. Please also bear in mind, that with winter and autumn, there can be heavy rain, this causes problems with flooding of country lanes and rivers. Causing diversions. Lanes are narrow and some sharp bends. Dogs are welcome at an extra charge of £20 each.
