Positive: The atmosphere is amazing, as soon as you enter the place the magic grabs you. Breakfast was good, but nothing special. We were off-season so I am sure in season it is a bit more bustling, but staff presence was also limited.

Negative: The pool was already closed, although in one comment they said it was going to be open, it was the tipping point in our choice, so we were sas that it did not operate. It is far from everything so you do need a car to go anywhere, but that was not a problem for us, just a fact that comes with the place.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this fantastic historical place. It certainly has the old charm and magic!

Positive: The building itself is wonderful and pretty. Very historic and the gardens and pool are a nice addition. A relaxing feel for couples. The architecture is really nice and feels secluded.

Negative: The breakfast was poor. Little choice unless you eat bread. No fruit or cooked options. The choice is: yoghurt and one cereal, cornflakes, bread, hard boiled eggs, ham and cheese and cake. There was little help during the stay, staff were not visible. Breakfast is self service but the coffee machine kept breaking and you had to try fix it yourself even though they had another 3 not in service. Quite irritating to wake up and spend 20 mins trying to make yourself a coffee. Plus there are no coffee making facilities in the room You had to go find staff at the reception to ask for anything, including milk for our coffee. My partner asked for an iron and board but was just given an iron and had to attempt to iron his clothes on the bed. The lighting was poor in the room, very dim. There was one small window which you had to utilise to get ready. No full length mirror and the wifi connection was not strong enough to work. We were also told upon arrival that the restaurant was closed for maintenance and that the chef was away. We asked how can we get a drink, and was told we could be brought a can of fanta or coke! Not ideal for arriving on a Sunday when no supermarkets are closed and places to eat do not open till 9pm. We were rather hungry till dinner time.

Summary: Pretty place but lacks standard service expected at a 3 star hotel.

Positive: We had a suite which opened onto a courtyard and garden, it was very spacious and clean. Loved the pool area. The older kitchen lady was really lovely.

Negative: Restaurant wasn't the best for decor, atmosphere or food. Breakfast could have had more of a selection
