Summary: Work visit but got evening walking advise of the gentleman (he's never been called that before 😉) at reception/bar, thank you. Didn't bother with breakfast but was offered an earlier breakfast if required. Different room to last week, didn't have a comfy chair and the sink is very close to the bath but it was quieter and did the job. Just used the chippy for evening meals but with a pint of Best from the bar and making use of the seating area, thank you. Will hopefully be back

Summary: Work visit and didn't arrive till 8ph. Very helpful young lady on Tuesday night. No food available in the evening but able to eat my chippy tea with a pint ;-) Very handy for work and great for local walks in the evening. Looking forward to being back next week.

Summary: The room was clean and the bed was good, but it needs blackout curtains or blinds - was very bright at 5am! No evening restaurant in the hotel and not a great deal in Annan, so best of luck The entrance to the hotel needs revamped - i was wondering what i was in for (and not in a good way) when i entered through the doors Bar area needs some TLC. Not a very inviting area Staff were great

Summary: I traveled from Japan specifically to visit Annandale Distillery and the Annan Museum, and this hotel was an excellent base for exploring the area. The building has a lot of character and history, but the room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. I was unsure how to operate the heater in my room, as this type of heating system is uncommon in Japan, but the staff were always happy to help and made me feel welcome. The Scottish full breakfast was delicious. I especially enjoyed the haggis, toast, and butter, as well as the freshly brewed French press coffee. The staff were friendly and professional during both check-in and check-out, making my stay very comfortable. If the hotel bar happens to be closed during your stay, I recommend getting fish and chips from The Cafe Royal nearby. It was an excellent takeaway option. I would happily stay here again when visiting Annan.

Summary: Clean room and helpful staff throughout our 5 night stay. Noise from the bar entrance/exit goes on until the small hours of the morning and traffic lights directly below, so recommend room is selected away from the street side as the windows offer absolutely no noise abatement. Food is good with a large selection however no evening food available, so recommend The Anglers opposite for evening meals
