Positive: The cottage was amazing, the kitchen has everything you need. The bedrooms are great and the shower - WOW. Just sitting watching the birds and ever changing view - Who needs TV or social media!

Positive: The cottage was perfect for me in every way.I was on a solo birding holiday specifically looking for geese and Powfoot is ideally placed. At nearby Caerlaverock I saw an estimated 7000 barnacle geese and then the following day on the English Solway at Rockcliffe there were a further 15,000. In the evening after dark I could hear flocks of geese flying over the village on their way to roost, and during the day there were many wading birds on the estuary right in front of the cottage. A very atmospheric place. I've already booked again for next year, can't wait!
