Summary: The service at this hotel was top notch. I felt like royalty. The room was clean, bar well stocked and restaurant had excellent food. My stay was only for one night so I wasn’t able to enjoy the spa but I will return.

Summary: I had a very disappointing experience at the Corinthia Hotel in Lisbon. This is clearly a property geared toward large tour groups, which makes the lobby consistently overcrowded and the check-in process extremely slow. In my case, check-in took over 30 minutes. Due to a national train strike, I arrived a day late. While I understand policies are policies, I was surprised and disappointed that the hotel would not offer any refund or accommodation for the missed night, especially given the exceptional circumstances. To make matters worse, the hotel misplaced my luggage upon arrival and it took them nearly two hours to locate it. After a wonderful trip across Portugal, this was a poor way to end my journey. Overall, the lack of flexibility, the inefficiency, and the impersonal nature of the service left me with a very negative impression. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a smooth or accommodating experience.

Summary: A little bit far out from the City Centre, but the Corinthia is a lovely property. Quieter neighborhood, very nice pool and spa, and an excellent hotel gym. Taxis and Uber to City Center is very easy, maybe 15-20 minutes even at peak hours. Close to the airport. The Suite was wonderful, spacious, walk in closet, and a great tub for a relaxing bath.

Summary: The check-in was the worst part our stay. We were travelling as a group of eight and arrived in the morning (around10.30am). Our group consisted of an elderly person and two others who were in physical pain on that day. Since this was classed as a five star hotel we really expected to be allowed to check-in earlier considering our circumstances. We informed the staff about these issues but were made to wait almost five hours before being checked-in. They told us it was likely we would be checked in earlier but “certainly” by 3pm. The most frustrating thing was when 3pm arrived and the two out of four rooms were still not ready. Some of us were rushed to the lift laugh and shown how to use the key card on the lift and that’s all. No-one bothered to tell us what time or where breakfast would be served. We found this quite shocking. We could see it was a busy day for the hotel but I think it does not really excuse such oversight. The rooms were really very clean but there was a peculiar problem - there was A LOT of dust in the rooms all the time. The rooms would be cleaned every day - we witnessed the maids dusting the tables and cleaning but everything would be covered in dust again. It was so much that it would draw attention - the tables would be covered in it, our personal belongings would be covered in dust. The breakfast is advertised everywhere as fantastic and intercontinental but it wasn’t. It was great breakfast but we have had more variety at four star hotels.
