Positive: Everything is perfect and fits the description on the site: air conditioning in all rooms, heating, a heated towel rail, a fast water heater, a washing machine etc. The Wi-Fi was perfect. The furniture is new and practical. The beds were very comfortable. A lot of towels: small and large. The new windows and doors. This is not just "rooms for staying," but a fully-fledged house. There was nothing that we would need and it was missing. Everything is new, aesthetically pleasing and has excellent taste in decor. There is a spacious, fully equipped, country-style kitchen, where my wife and I comfortably cooked together. We admired a stunning sunset view of the sea and surrounding cliffs from the wrap-around balcony and discovered a small folding coffee table for admiring the sunset alone. The house stands on the shady side of the mountain providing pleasant cooling on a hot day. A few minutes by car took us down to the Agios Gordios resort area with shops, restaurants (some are famous), and a magnificent beach. On the way, we saw many people making the journey on foot. We liked this mountain house for loneliness silence, breeze, and breathtaking views. Just below the Dimitris House, we visited a hidden Fieroulas beach and bay with romantic views of beautiful rocks and ancient ruins of the fishing port. We walked there along the concrete steep road on foot but it is accessible by car as well. Three famous restaurants of traditional cuisine are adjacent to the house; one offers a homemade vegan option from local products (for those who care), and another is mentioned in guidebooks as serving the best moussaka on the island. Yet we didn't hear any noise or music from the restaurants. From that place, we easily visited many marked sites on the island: in the North and the South, and the capital Kerkira. Dimitris the host was very friendly, helped us with important travel advice and was promptly available on WhatsApp. Dream vacation.
