COPPER CABIN at Florencia Bay Retreat offers a self-catering luxury cabin, privately located on a 2.4 acre old growth forested property bordering Pacific Rim National Park, within walking distance of Florencia Bay and Halfmoon Bay via the Willowbrae Trail. This is a place to unplug from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with nature and decompress.
This work-of-art cabin built on Vancouver Island features traditional old growth logs and beautifully handcrafted custom creations by local artisans and craftsmen. With subtle details such as a river rock fireplace, a grand copper tub to the beautifully handcrafted antique-style kitchen, king poster bed, luxurious granite shower, and a stargazing private hot tub set in the forest.
You will be taken back by the elegant details and craftsmanship that has been placed into creating Copper Cabin. Upon entering, you will be guided into a handcrafted antique-style kitchen with black and gold details throughout. The kitchen comes fully stocked with beautiful dishware, a large brass farmhouse style sink, and a black antique style kitchen oven. The space also has a large island that is perfect for your morning breakfast or your evening glass of red wine while indulging in great conversations with your loved ones. Appreciate sleeping in a king size bed and located just beneath the bed is a fireplace that creates a cozy calming atmosphere. Tucked away in the corner is a beautiful copper freestanding bathtub perfect for capping off your romantic evening! Just off the living/sleeping area is a large bathroom with a stand up shower, complete with granite finishes. Just out the front door there is a seating area on the front porch and a hot tub nestled amongst the trees to heighten this romantic getaway experience!

Just a heads-up: this unit does not have a washer or dryer. However, there is a local laundromat in town that you’re welcome to use.

Please note: the cabin has large stone tile flooring that can be a bit uneven in some spots. It could be challenging for those with mobility issues.
A note on the listing sounds good. What about this: We’re in the exciting process of preparing for the addition of a fifth cabin on the property (completion, spring 2026). You may notice some light construction activity during the day as work progresses. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption minimal, and no work will take place in the evenings or on weekends.
During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

Summary: We loved our stay at the Copper Cabin. It combines old world charm with all of the daily essentials. The vaulted ceilings are spectacular and the cedar log walls make you feel like you're at an exclusive retreat. The bed was large and comfy, and the kitchen had all of the necessities to cook daily meals. A+ we will be back. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Summary: I booked the copper cabin for a few days in June while I secretly planned to propose to my girlfriend. The copper cabin was the perfect place to stay. The online booking process was simple and quick, the communication with Danielle was clear and punctual. The Cabin was clean, comfortable, and beyond expectation, the pictures really don't do it justice. The quiet serene location is perfect, you wake up hearing the birds, drinking the complimentary coffee, enjoying the amazing deck. Danielle and the TVR team was so accommodating, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, could not have asked for a better place to stay, it was so hard to leave. From the hot tub, to the amazing gas stove, the décor, the big bathtub, the peace and quiet, it was all so perfect. Cant wait to visit again.
