Positive: Loved this little place near lyme regis. Very well equipped and comfortable. Lovely walk along the river to get to Lyme. Nice owner and lovely welcome pack.
Negative: The living room / kitchen did get very hot during the day (we stayed on a warm weekend) - would recommend guests to draw curtains before you leave for the day to keep it cool.
Summary: Lovely property

Positive: A lovely peaceful location, plenty of wildlife to watch from the window or whilst sitting on the decking. A wonderful welcome pack on arrival, meaning we could immediately sit down with a cuppa! The lodge is very well equipped, including a boot tray just inside the door for mucky shoes, and was very clean and smelt lovely! Good storage, and parking right outside. The two reclining armchairs, which were different to the photos, were very comfy. The hairdryer was very powerful, and it was nice to have boxes of tissues, toilet rolls, hand wash, shower gel, air fresheners, wash liquid and cleaning sprays. Lyme Regis has some lovely shops, bakeries and the fossil museums. The Seaton Tramway was great, although a bit windy on the open top! The gift shop at Colyton station was very good. The Green Leaf Coffee Shop in Seaton is lovely, with armchairs & sofas, and the best caramel latte I've ever had! The Cobb Arms in Lyme Regis is very quirky, with friendly staff and good food.
Negative: The roadworks, which were obviously no fault of the owner, had closed the main route up to the lodge, so the longer route around was a bit challenging! The entrance lane to the property is quite narrow, so the sensors on the VW Touran we hired went off the whole way along it, but it was fine.
Summary: We would happily stay here again if we revisit the area.

Positive: Lovely cottage, lovely location, very clean, fully equipped for self catering. Mobile hotspot for WiFi was appreciated. Large windows looking out to beautiful, well-maintained garden. Quite separate from main house, so element of distance, privacy.
Negative: The roads approaching the cottage are narrow, single track, with little or no lighting. Pretty quiet, but a couple of times met cars coming the other way, which is not ideal. Made me nervous about driving to/from at night, when it would be hard to back up. Talkmobile signal was poor, probably because area is hilly. Both issues out of owners' control, of course. Just mentioning for others' information.
