Summary: The lodge was exactly as described. Surrounded by a large green garden and woodland and hedgerow. It is off the beaten track but this made it perfect for a quiet getaway. Waking in the morning to see a deer grazing was an absolute treat. Also got visited by a Pheasant as well as a very healthy looking fox!! A previous review mentioned some dodgy Wifi, but after bumping into the lovely owner of the property it got resolved, so absolutely no complaints at all. Did not go there for Wifi anyway! Only a 7 minute drive from Lyme Regis itself, it is a perfect little getaway if you just want to escape for some peace and tranquillity or just as perfect if you want to go exploring. If we are back in the area we would definitely be considering booking it again.

Summary: Really excellent Christmas stay in a very peaceful and superbly well equipped lodge. Small but beautifully formed as they say. Everything we needed was supplied, plus homemade mince pies, clotted cream and sparkling wine. It was all immaculate and we had a brilliant time watching the wildlife just outside the window. Certainly hope to visit again!
