Affairs to Remember is a large, modern beachfront house, with more than 3,000 sq ft of living space including a big beachside patio surrounding its private pool. Wooded lots, mature shrubs, and bushes with gorgeous tropical flowers on both sides of the house. A concrete fence screens out neighboring properties and affords a great deal of privacy. The house features all concrete construction, 9 foot or better ceilings, and tinted double glazed windows and doors. This home is cool and quiet. It also boasts one of the best beaches in Belize. Wander out more than a hundred feet on a firm sandy bottom from our beach and bask in sea temperatures that average 80 degrees or better year-round.
All water in the house is filtered and safe for you to enjoy.
The three air-conditioned bedrooms each have a king bed, soft furnishings, complementing the custom-designed precious hardwood four-poster beds, closets, and bureaux. The master bedroom boasts its own private oceanfront balcony and a large 65" 4K Smart TV and the other bedrooms have a 55" 4K Smart TV. The spacious master bathroom in black marble and mahogany not only has a double indoor walk-in shower but, should you wish to shower under the caribbean sun or stars, also offers a step outside into the cleverly designed open air wet room!
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are generously sized and appointed in custom made hardwoods in matching style, share a second spacious balcony overlooking the pool and Caribbean sea. The second bathroom, also in black marble and mahogany, is luxuriously cool and serene. Downstairs, opening onto the huge, shaded outside living space, is the well-appointed kitchen, up-to-the-minute appliances for ease of cooking including safe induction stovetop, stainless steel fridge/freezer with ice-maker, a separate beer fridge and wine cooler for entertaining on the patio, dishwasher, an oven, microwave and plenty of preparation space.
Spacious storage and laundry area with washer and dryer are provided behind beautiful custom made cabinetry.
The generous open plan living and dining space offer screened windows and floor to ceiling sunrise-facing tri-fold doors which slide completely to one side, allowing light to flood the living and dining areas, and the cool breeze to circulate. The natural marble floors, along with the Caribbean breeze means the house is naturally cooled all day. The owners have custom-built a massive corner sofa unit to stretch out and watch the big-screen 65” 4K Smart TV. Local tastefully created artwork adorns the walls, and outside, ample seating under hardwood shade creates a convivial atmosphere to enjoy entertaining dining or sunset cocktails.
The BASE RATE for the house and 2 people is $625 per night.
Additional guests are $30 per person per night.

Summary: Great house! Had everything we needed and we didn't have many questions as the pre-arrival instructions were complete. The sea grass was heavy along the shore, so we spent most of our time in and around the pool. The ocean breeze kept the house cool enough. The location was convenient to Placencia and to various activities - jungle hiking, cave tubing, Mayan ruins, etc. We'd definitely return.

Summary: This home in Maya Beach is beautiful! The beach and water were incredible and the communication with the owner and property manager could not have been better...even with my inability to connect to my VRBO log in the owner and property manager helped with my questions and gave instructions as needed. The inability to connect to my VRBO page was a glitch on my end. Internet at the house was excellent.

Summary: Placencia is a great chill place to explore. The house was large and had everything we needed. The kids loved having both pool and beach to play on. The outdoors space was a highlight and we could easily walk to be Maya Beach Bistro. The house needs some updating in places but it was clean and had everything we needed. It’s also close to the road so you do get some road noise. But overall we enjoyed it!

Summary: Our family of four planned a trip to Placencia, but needed the diving board for my son, and found your home! Everything was comfortable, quiet, and perfect for our family. Walking distance to the Mayan Hotel allowed us to enjoy our stay without cooking, or going far to eat out. We had planned on bowling across the street but never quite made it there. The water is warm and beautiful, views are amazing, and close enough to town for our snorkeling adventure, which we booked through the hotel next door. We will be back!!!! Wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen set up is fully stocked and it would have been fun to try out the bbq.

Summary: From beginning to the end seamless experience. Both Wendy, the owner, and McNeilsen Property Management answered all questions and provided information promptly and professionally. Villa has all the supplies/equipment/furnishings needed for a fun relaxing vacation. Had Chef G in for 2 nights, went with Captain Alfred on snorkeling/fishing expedition and had Lori come to house for massages. All recommendations and all excellent. Ate at a number of the local restaurants. Enjoyed Mickey's and Maya Grill. Very hot week but cool Caribbean breezes throughout the day made lounging at pool and under palm trees enjoyable.

Summary: Can’t say enough good things about this rental. First of all, the communication was excellent. The owner responded often in under 10 minutes to questions I had leading up to the stay. And while there the manager Kimberly was amazing. Very helpful tips about excursions or food etc and when had minor issues she responded immediately. We essentially lived on the back patio and for good reason. Awesome pool that was cleaned regularly. Great beach and so pleasantly surprised the sandy ocean floor. Nice privacy with surrounding fence. Kitchen well stocked and especially appreciate plenty of containers for leftovers. Would highly recommend meals either at Maya Beach Bistro or, my favorite, Mickeys. Able to walk to both. For excursions Glover’s Reef is a must do if you love to snorkel but really any boat trip well worth it. Lunch at King Lewys island was super fun. Just the best two weeks and would highly recommend.

Summary: The property is as listed, but so much more. It is situated beautifully on the Maya Beach, and nicely set back from the beach for complete privacy. The amenities are great, the location is within walking distance to great restaurants and we felt immediately at home. Wendy and Pat have provided great information on local attractions and have a super efficient Property Manager who was available when needed. This Property ticks all the boxes for a warm, relaxing holiday away in a beautiful country that has many natural beauties to offer.

Summary: This is an amazing house in an ideal location. It's right on the beach and right next to the best restaurant in Placencia - The Maya Beach Bistro - which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen in the house has everything you could need if you want to cook and there is a washer and dryer which also came in handy. Another plus is that the water out of the tap is filtered so there is no need to buy bottled water. Our weather was not ideal otherwise we would have been in the pool every day. The owner was great to communicate with as was the house manager upon our arrival. One thing to note is that there is no air conditioning downstairs. You can open up both sets of sliding doors going out to the pool area during the day but in the evening it can be quite warm because the doors need to be closed to keep out the bugs. Other than that it could not have been better!
