Villa Azul is a newly built house and located in a residential area close to the sea, beaches and restaurants. It's a contemporary style villa full of light, with large glass sliding doors opening on to a terrace upstairs and to a private swimming pool downstairs. Up to 6 people can stay at the villa. The villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with walk in showers. The house has brand new and high quality furniture both indoor and outdoor. The master bedroom has a desk and a walk in dressing closet with a mirror. On the second floor is a large terrace with lounge seats. There are 3 parasols on the property to enjoy shade during the summer. You can relax on the sunbeds or enjoy dinner outside as there is an outdoor dining table with chairs. Bougainvilleas and other southern flowers surround the house. There is a nice private pool with an outdoor shower, an integrated jacuzzi, and measuring 4 by 7 m, with a depth of 1,2 to 1,8 m (which is large for the area). Our pool manager will clean the pool twice a week during your stay. You can watch all television channels from Spain, Europe, UK,.. as well as Netflix through IP TV.
Villa Azul is located close to sandy blue flag beaches at the Mediterranean ánd the Mar Menor, so you can choose every day which sea to go to. There is a large natural reserve with flamingos within walking distance. There are many activities offered in the neighbourhood: biking & hiking trails and watersports such as kayaking, windsurf, sailing, jet skiing or snorkeling. Bikes can be rented close by. You can also enjoy the famous therapeutic mud baths of San Pedro or rent a yacht. There are plenty of eating places to choose from, from beach and tapas bars to fine dining and upscale restaurants. There are dozens of golf courses wihin a 15 km distance amongst which the award winning resort of Las Colinas and a bit further the famous La Manga Club. There is also a new outdoor shopping mall La Zenia. There are many food markets in the villages close by, the one in San Pedro is at 600 m from Villa Azul. Wine trips can be taken to Jumilla or Yecla. Cities such as Murcia, Cartagena and Alicante with their culture and history are within 30 / 45 min driving distance. The regional park Calblanque with its beautiful wild beaches and transparent sea is one of the best preserved natural areas of the Mediterranean cost and can be reached in 30 minutes. You can hike in the canyon- like Rio Seco nearby or visit the Sierra Espuna to spend a day surrounded by stunning nature. There is also a thalassotherapy spa at 400 m from the villa.

Summary: To start I explained we would arrive early due to flight issues, and was told we would be notified if the villa was ready early, this was not the case we sat at a local bar waiting for a call for over three hours that never arrived, when the taxi did drop us off at the villa it looked ready? Upon arrival, I do think small things makes a massive impression, maybe a few tea bags or jar of coffee/small bottle of milk? more than 3 rolls of toilet paper for a family of 5/dishwasher tablets? instead a warm bottle of wine and tin of olives… the house didn’t look as though it had been properly cleaned/mopped, still hairs on the floors etc. both parasols tatty/broken so no shade new one did turn up but the day before we left for home, owner suggested we walked to the local shop and buy our own and get a refund. Mid holiday a gardener turned up and was there a couple of hours, surely this should be done before guests arrive? BBQ out of gas and wasn’t cleaned, blocked burner. Tiles missing in the pool, sharp under the foot. I think the photos should be updated to show the current state, maybe a little TLC for the villa. Then on the last night the jacuzzi broke, communication to see if this was resolved or help was quite poor. Overall an OK holiday but sadly I wouldn’t recommend.

Summary: Our first time in the area of San Pedro del Pinatar, though we've stayed in the nearby area of Pilar de la Horadada. First thing to say, the villa and the immediate neighbourhood are fantastic. The villa is clean and well furnished and has every mod con you could require. The outside areas are clean and well appointed. There is no dedicated parking but we never had a problem finding a space. The surrounding town is a bit less enchanting, once you get off the main roads its a matrix of one way streets and finding your way without a sat nav is tough. That's the only real downside though, the restaurants and bars are good, the local beaches are nice and the Salinas and the circular walk around them and along the beach was beautiful and we did that more than once.

Summary: The property was exactly as described and was clean and tidy. Paul was very accommodating when we had a few questions. The property was in our opinion extremely well equipped. The wine, beers and ciders on arrival were very well received. Pool was lovely and well maintained. Would recommend.

Summary: We loved Villa Azul. It was exactly as described. It was modern, clean and with excellent facilities. The area is very residential with many holiday homes, apartments etc but there were two good supermarkets and a lovely Italian restaurant within a short walk. It was extremely hot when we were there so we didn’t walk to the Marina (approximately 45 mins) or Lo Pagan (approximately 30mins). Instead we made frequent use of the local taxi service to these places and surrounding villages which usually cost less than 10 euro.
