Tucked away down narrow country lanes and a private half-mile section of the ancient Saint Edmund Way, this quintessential 16th Century farmhouse is wonderfully positioning in the middle of rolling Constable Countryside within walking distance of two of the Dedham Vale’s prettiest villages with great pubs. Following a full modernising renovation, the cottage retains its authentic historic character with extensive wooden beams, exposed brickwork and impressive inglenook fireplace glowing at its heart. With two exceedingly comfortable en-suite bedrooms, beautiful three-sixty degree views over a large immaculate garden and unrivalled seclusion, this is the superlative rural escape.
Ground Floor
Kitchen & Dining Room – Two rooms now combined as one to create a well-equipped kitchen and dining room incorporating the original architecture and floored with an intricate mosaic pattern. There is a sink, dishwasher, Rangemaster style electric six hob / double oven cooker, under-counter fridge and separate freezer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and antique dining table with six chairs.
Utility Room– With worktop, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Washroom – Lavatory and hand basin.
Sitting Room – Three seater sofa, large matching armchair and further padded chair are orientated around a large inglenook fireplace with a modern log burner. There is also a 42” Sky integrated Smart TV with access to a plethora of channels.

This sun terrace has an outdoor dining table & four chairs along with a BBQ, two sunlounges and a raised fire pit. Sunsets at their inspiring best.
Garden – The lawn around the cottage is for your private use and next to the driveway it is delignated by a low hedge the other side of which is for the use of the neighbouring barn conversion.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic location and the cottage was beyond expectations, the grounds around the property were beautiful keeled, lovely wildlife to watch and hear the owls. Lovely country and woodland walks, and looking forward to returning there next year.

Summary: Overall the cottage was great. Spacious and well equipped. The surrounds were terrific and an absolute credit to the gardener. The information pack was first rate, and loaded with everything you'd need as someone new to the area. Would recommend for sure.
