The architecture is thoughtfully designed with its rustic, yet artsy aesthetic. The Owl's Nest is intentionally designed to accentuate nature in its rawest form. The home was built at the perfect angle to capture the most beautiful sunset/sunrise from any room in the home. Each room is designed to offer a nook experience with extra large windows (with the bed situated at the window), so that, while lying in bed, you will be front and center to experience the most striking sunsets/sunrise.
Not to mention, the hot tub is perfectly situated near the colorful owl mural to capture stunning pictures while enjoying the hot tub. At night, the hot tub is dimly lit with string lights to offer the perfect experience for a small group of friends looking to hang out with a few beers and BBQ at the hot tub.
While the kitchen does not have a traditional oven, the kitchen is stocked with all the amenities needed to make an amazing meal. Summary: We loved our stay at the Owls Nest! Great western decor and quality linens. We were able to cook quite a bit in the small kitchen. We especially loved all of the outdoor space. The hot tub was awesome after a long day of hiking. Would definitely return here!If you are coming from afar, we’d recommend renting a truck or SUV as the access is via a dirt road.

Summary: I grew up on Morongo's dirt roads, so I knew the area well. Anyone who has visited this area must enjoy the seclusion and natural beauty of the desert. I was feeling adventurous when booking this property, as it was going to be myself, my husband and our 10 month old daughter. It turned out that the separate sleeping area from the kitchen/living room was excellent for letting our little one get much needed sleep while we stayed up and enjoyed our vacation, keeping an eye on her with a monitor. We enjoyed the hot tub, it offered a beautiful view of the clear night sky. The ability to connect to wifi and the tv was a bonus. We had everything we needed to make simple meals. It was a lovely vacation and the property owners have provided a unique and fun way to experience the beauty of the desert.

Summary: Checking in and checking out were very simple and efficient. The location and property was exactly what we expected and was very nice. While the host was good with communication, we were disappointed to find that the hot tub didn’t work. I even messaged before our stay to make sure it was working and the host said it was but it didn’t. I would’ve appreciated an actual test run of the hot tub before because we booked this place mainly because of the hot tub. We appreciate the quick sent out for a Manteca person despite them not being able to solve the issue. Overall a good stay but we are still unsatisfied with the hot tub problem.
