Summary: Stayed 2 nights for Huntsville Marathon. The buses depart right outside the hotel. The room was very comfortable. Staff named Patricia was very kind and helpful. Thank you!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Compass Rose Lodge. It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully curated—from the mint truffles on the bed to the excellent coffee and sandwiches available on-site. One of the highlights was the observatory tour. It wasn’t just a peek at the stars; it included a brief tour of the property and its rich history, including a scale model of the solar system with the sun right there on the grounds! This scale is about 13 miles long but starts with the sun. We also loved learning about the first ski chairlift and the family history behind the lodge—it really added a personal touch. This place is more than a place to sleep—it's an experience. We’d definitely stay again!

Summary: What a great place to stay! It is incredibly clean and inviting with a fun modern farmhouse/ski vibe. The hotel is located close to ski resorts and a few restaurants. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming! In addition to the observatory, check out the Ogden Valley planet tour that begins on their property. We will be back for sure.
