Positive: Celine and Didier have done an amazing job turning a derelict house into a home. It is still rustic but could not be more welcoming & friendly. The room is small but has everything needed. There are just two double rooms available and the bathroom - also with all you need, and a good shower - is shared by whoever is in the two rooms. Celine is a wonderful cook and the 3 course dinner offered for just 10 euros is well worth the money. It’s also a chance to relax together, take in the view, and hear more of their story. Everything offered is home made / grown, with more to come as they plan to start beekeeping soon as well. The breakfast in the morning - which they were happy to serve at 0600 for walkers (!) was a delight, with extra treats offered to take on the walk ahead. Again, all the bread, cake, etc is home made. It’s pretty much exactly midway Fatima-Tomar; a good stop for anyone on a little (or long) Camino, or easily accessible by car and a much nicer option than the box hotels in Fatima.

Negative: The only negative is that there’s really no soundproofing between the two rooms. The place is so quiet that any noise travels. But for a homely homestay this place is ideal.

Positive: We stayed for one night and were very pleased with our stay. In our room, we were greeted with fresh lemon juice and homemade cookies, which was a very welcoming touch. The room was comfortable, and cleanliness, which is very important to me, met my expectations. Both the dining area, our room, and the bathroom were spotless. Cécile and Didier were wonderful hosts, always available for any request. We opted for the table d'hôtes dinner at €8 per person, which included soup, chicken, potatoes, and a delicious cream dessert. We truly enjoyed spending time with them and especially appreciated the homemade food. The breakfast was also tasty, with a nice variety of items on the table, and the homemade French bread and yogurt were outstanding. If they were to add eggs to the breakfast, it would be absolutely perfect, though there was really nothing else missing.

Positive: The owners were wonderful and super welcoming! The breakfast and baked goods were all handmade which was an extremely big added bonus (and they were absolutely delicious)! The owners spoke french but did a really big effort to communicate in english because we weren't fluent in french! I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend for anyone staying around the area!

Negative: Maybe the fact that because i didn't speak perfect french i felt bad that we couldn't have a more thorough conversation but like i stated earlier they did a wonderful job trying to communicate in english so not really something bad!

Summary: Absolutely wonderful space and fantastic people!
