This all year round holiday home with its own walled garden and pool is situated in the small village of Benamahoma (an aldea of Grazalema)in a quiet area rural area, while offering relaxing outside spaces and privacy it is just a short walk to the local shops and restaurants. Besides an Ideal summer holiday spot the surrounding National Park of Grazalema offers all year round activities walking, mountain climbing, caving, bird watching, a fantastic selection of flora and fauna.
The detached home sleeps up to 6 people + 2 extra people in foldaway beds if required. On the ground floor there is the living area with open fireplace, comfortable sofas and a small library. The independent delightful kitchen is well equipped and has a separate pantry area and good storage. There are three double bedrooms, one with a double, one with a 2 singles and the principal room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. All the bedrooms have built in cupboards and large windows to the exterior. The ground floor also has a bathroom, air-conditioning in the living area and the principal bedroom.
On the first floor one finds a comfortable room with chimney and lounge sitting with windows offering views of the surrounding mountains, a special place to relax, study, read or paint.
Outside there is a porch, ideal for dining and taking in the views. The two sunny terraces and the swimming pool, 8m x 4m ( with salt water filter system) are equipped with sun lounges and a pergola, ideal for enjoying the sunset.
The house has a fireplace and wood burning stove ideal for the late autumn and early spring months. There is air-conditioning in the living area and the main bedroom, all the windows have mosquito blinds. There is a washing machine, Wi-Fi, TV and towels and bed linen are provided. There is private garage parking within the property.
Benamahoma is a small village at the heart of the protected Park Sierra de Grazalema. The park is renowned for it wildlife Flora and Fauna and a beautiful landscape
The village offers various traditional festivals such as the “Moros y Cristianos” and a good local gastronomy, including local game, local olive oil and wines.
In Benamahoma the spring wáter is famous for its purity and there is a great river walk to the next village, along the way you will find a museum showing the life and times of the millers and the watermills in the area. It is also a good base for many walks in the natural Park including “ el Pinsapar” where you pass through a enormous wood perched on the north side of the mountain el Torreon whose trees are the oldest in Europe.
Autumn and Spring and the Winter months are the best dates for a walking holiday, horse riding, hand gliding, climbing and cycling, where as in July and August one can enjoy relaxing times at the pool and evening in the bars
Less an hour away is the famous town of jerez de la Frontera, famous for its horse displays, Flamenco and sherry Bodegas. A liitle further thereare the coastal towns of Cadiz, Conil etc with beautiful beaches and a bit further the capital of Andalucia, Sevilla.
There are 4 main airports, Malaga, jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla and Gibraltar.

Summary: Absolutely amazing. Quiet, out of the way Villa which was beyond our expectations! Large, clean and well catered we have 11 days of total relaxtion...even with the fiesta and the overnight partying 😀 we thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend. Summary: Spent 2 weeks in the fantastic property and loved every minute. All the usual things you would expect and the mosquito nets on the windows were a great addition. Plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet. The village is lovely, plenty of restaurants, 2 great shops and a cash machine. We just missed the Moors and Christians festival but there was plenty of other things going on during the 2 weeks making our stay there very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this property, the village and surrounding area.

Summary: This was a wonderful property to rent. It was well appointed & equipped inside with a great pool and patio areas outside. It’s location in the Grazalema Natural Park is very picturesque. We had a wonderful week there.

Summary: We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the above property. All the reviews of the property and the village are spot on. However we had problems with dogs constantly barking near to the property. We were assured by the owners that this doesn't normally happen. Maybe if like us it annoys you just check before you book.

Summary: Excellent communication with the owners, who have taken into consideration every detail. The pool is a good size and the gardens is very pleasant in the evenings with lovely views. The village is just a 2 minute walk away so very easy for tapas and drinks. Definetly be back.

Summary: We stayed for two weeks at the property in June 2018. We have stayed at many rentals throughout Europe and this is one of the best. This was the cleanest property we have stayed at both inside and out. The inside is spacious with good air conditioning in the main bedroom and living area. There is also ample storage in the bedrooms. The weather was hot during our stay so we were glad of the air conditioning at night. We also loved the tower room with it's mountain views. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The outside is spacious and private. The garden furniture is very comfortable and of good quality, no plastic chairs and tables here. The pool was exceptionally clean in a private position and we used it every day. There are views of the mountains from all around the property. The village centre is only a 2 minute walk away with bars, restaurants and two small supermarkets. It was difficult to know when the bars were open, however, especially for food. We loved to eat outside at the property with the fantastic views. This has been one of our favourite stays and we will most definitely return

Summary: Firstly I must say we are already planning our return visit to this villa!! This accommodation is large and well appointed and very very quiet - a must for me. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed. The sheets were lovely and soft. The beds were unmade only because we hadn't said if we wanted one or two rooms but it took moments to put sheets on and there was plenty of linen in the spacious wardrobes. The beds were firm but very comfortable. The stand alone shower is a bit tight but the water pressure was great. The views from the terraces of mountains all around were wonderful. It was hard to find - make sure you have printed off directions in case you can't get a mobile signal. The swimming pool was lovely and very private (not communal as part of the description says). Quite deep so not very child or non swimmer friendly. We arrived very late due to flight delay so it was nearly 9.30 pm before finally got there. The neighbour who is the key holder does not speak English and any Spanish we knew had deserted us but we worked it all out between us. We had picked up a few provisions on the way including a bottle of wine which was quite warm so the fact that lots of glasses were stored in the door of the freezer was a welcome surprise. The only downside - and a surprising one - was the lack of a welcome pack. No tea/coffee/milk / dishwasher tablets. Especially as milk is usually long life in Spain so could be bought and left there well in advance. So the first morning there - Sunday - my husband took 2 coffee mugs and walked the 100 yards or so to the nearest bar/cafe and returned with 2 coffees for our breakfast! No idea if they are used to selling coffee that way but they did so happily. Of couse we could have had coffee in the bar but with the fantastic views from our terrace breakfast on the terrace was a must. Take your binoculars - birds including raptors - to be seen.

Summary: We felt very welcome. Especially , the woman who maintains the house was very nice and helpful. The house itself is comfortable and very easy to access. It has a marvelous garden with a very enjoyable terrace. I can only recommend this house.

Summary: Nice size villa good pool always in the sun especially in the afternoon lovely outdoor seating with mountain views. Quite steep cobbled roads leading up to the villa that can be a challenge for inexperienced drivers. Local restaurants aren't always open every day so be prepared to drive to El Basque on some occasions. The food in the local restaurants is excellent but be prepared to order in Spanish. Most groceries can be purchased locally in the village and at Spanish prices. Overall since the town tends to cater for Spanish people the prices represent excellent value. Well worth driving over the mountains to Grazalema town amazing views en route and a very authentic Spanish traditional town set in the mountain valleys. We highly recommend this holiday and will remember it for experiencing real Spain!
