2 Bedroom Apartment in Meribel, Les Allues

This spacious well-appointed apartment, with fabulous views across the valley from its large wrap-around balcony, TV, DVD, and free WiFi, is in the hidden gem of La Gittaz, which is a small quiet hamlet away from the bustle of Meribel Centre, but not far from bars, shops, and all amenities and with easy access to the slopes right in the middle of the Three Valleys, the largest skiing area in Europe.
It is a family owned apartment that we let for just a few weeks each year in the winter peak season and also for a few weeks in the summer. The apartment is in a charming old Savoyard chalet that has been beautifully converted to 6 apartments, all self-contained with their own front doors. It has stunning views across the valley from the large comfortable corner sofa in the sitting area through the large plate glass sliding patio doors. You can also sit on the large sunny balcony in the morning getting a tan, or sit at the table and 4 chairs and enjoy your lunch looking at the view, or have a glass of wine in the evening watching the sun go down. The wide balcony wraps around the apartment, getting the sun first thing in the morning and all day long.
The apartment has been refurbished to a very high standard, with quality fittings, including washing machine, split-level oven and hob, dishwasher and 2 bathrooms, one en-suite. One bathroom has a shower over a full-sized bath, the en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower and a WC. Both bathrooms have good sized washbasins with large well-lit mirrors over them and plenty of storage space. There is a WC in the en-suite bathroom, and another separate WC.
There are two bedrooms, each with two single beds, which can be connected together to form doubles. There is ample storage space with full-size sliding door wardrobes in both bedrooms and large cupboards in the dining area.
There is free fibre broadband WiFi throughout the apartment. There is a smart TV to make Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime available. You can connect your own computer, Xbox, or AV equipment to the TV via the provided HDMI cable . There is a portable Bluetooth speaker to play your own music through.
The chalet has a secure ski locker room with a separate lockable ski locker for our apartment. The apartment has one private allocated parking space, with plenty more free parking nearby.
There is a beautiful 17 century chapel a few yards away.

The space is incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated with a charming mountain theme, making us feel completely immersed in the alpine atmosphere. We loved every detail!Moreover, the owner is exceptional—his communication is clear and attentive, and he shows remarkable care in every aspect of the stay. Summary: We loved this property! Plenty of space for 4 adults. Wonderful view of the mountains from the living room and balcony that can be enjoyed while having breakfast and coffee. Great location and walking to the gondola to get to the slopes. Rich was an excellent host that communicated great and went above and beyond to provide all the information we needed to make our first time in Meribel easier and more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Summary: The property was great for my wife and 2 girls. Short walk to the shuttle and a 20 minute uphill hike to Méribel Village. We did not have the snow cover to ski to the gondola. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: The apartment is great - spacious, well equipped and with nice views across the valley. It is a great base for skiing - the bubble lift from La Raffort is a short and pleasant walk down the hill. We didn’t have a car, but found it easy to get about and buy shopping in Meribel. One tip - we found it useful to hire a ski locker in Chaudanne (beneath Saulire lift). Thanks for a perfect holiday!

Summary: A spacious and well laid out apartment with two moderate sized bedrooms and option of twin or double beds. Very well stocked kitchen with all the utensils one might want. Comfortable living area and nice view from picture window. Great restaurant within walking distance. Easy access to Meribel and the lifts. Owners very considerate and left clear instructions. Would thoroughly recommend.

Summary: The chalet is very well equipped, really spacious and extremely comfortable - great showers, comfy beds - a real home from home. We had an extended stay and it was absolutely fabulous. There is a lovely view from the apartment looking up to the mountains. Jess who manages the property in the resort was very helpful and even cleared the steps of snow for us. Her cleaning team were brilliant - the chalet was immaculate. La Gittaz is a 10 minute walk from the very regular and reliable free buses which run from very early to very late or a short walk from the bubble lift. Sue, the owner, could not have been more helpful - lots of really useful information before we left and contacted us whilst we were en route to give us an update on the weather (so much snow.....) We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning.

Summary: We couldnt of wished for anything more , we loved every minute. Le Bachal is amazing , it really felt warm and homely as soon as we walked in . It's even more beautiful then the pictures shows , as a family we couldn't of been happier, it's easy distance to the bus which takes you either to meribel village or meribel centre to catch the chair lifts to the outstanding slopes . We skied everyday, and had lots of choice of slopes . The evenings we had a great spar which is brilliant as we could choose each night what we had to eat , and on our last night we had an amazing meal out in the centre of meribel which was very typically French and very reasonable . Sue and Andrew were great from the moment I first enquired about Le Bachal, so helpful and kind and we can't thank them enough for letting us stay . We have had a perfect holiday and we do hope to be back as we couldn't of had a better time . Thank you Sue and Andrew
