Summary: Cons: Description says internet but there is none and being told by the owner to use the wifi in the tourist information centre in town is not what I had in mind. The sofa furniture is very flimsy in the TV room, and although the wardrobes that are in each room are lovely to look at (one from 1686!) they are not really functional, smell very musty and others round the house are locked entirely. The ground floor bed had to be propped up with books to avoid collapse (the inner frame for the slats does not match nor fit the outer frame). A number of items in the kitchen also needed cleaning before use. However, the property is in the process of being renovated and what has been done seems to be of a high standard so perhaps we were first in. Pros: The rooms were really spacious for the three families that stayed together and it was lovely to be able to all sit round the dining table both inside and outside for meals. The showers are roomy and enjoyable although with 12 people staying we would have loved a 3rd toilet! (But that is probably just us) Kitchen appliances are great and dishes certainly served us well although I would take your own sharp vegetable knife (we bought one) and your own tin opener (the one available was very rusty). The garden is brilliant for kids to play, hide, run around, whatever and they all really enjoyed the freedom. We had a lovely time in a lovely part of the world and there are plenty of places to see and things to do for all tastes and ages within a very short drive Really pleased that we went and would definitely visit the region again and if those few things were changed in the house would definitely go again to this property.
