Positive: In a safe area of all embassies. Staff was amazing! Kind and caring. At the gate the gard always greets you with a warm smile. Front desk helpful with advice on where to go and what to do.
Negative: Faculty needs to be updated. Bathroom was so old shower head had no were to hang the tub was cracked. I came to breakfast at 9:30 and it looks horrible. Empty containers . Tables with missing silverware that you have to go from table to table to get. One morning ther was literally nothing so I asked for just vegetables and hard boiled eggs and that was the greatest breakfast I had there. The next morning I asked for it again and the answer was you can get the eggs but not the fresh vegetables because today we have the cooked vegetables. I understand that you serve African style but you are having guests from all over the world coming to the embassy. Just like you have western style on your menu it would be great to have fresh vegetables and some options for breakfast.

Positive: Excellent breakfast, great staff, especially Judy at the front desk. It's a lovely, green and quiet place. It's hard to know there are other guests except when we run into each other at breakfast

Positive: The 'compound' is a very nice, green setting, the taste of breakfast was really great, the shuttle to the UN was very useful, and staff were very, very nice and tried to accommodate me by changing my room due to noise. Airport pick-up was also very smooth, and location right beside village market meant you could easily go out for dinner or an outing in the evening without having to get a car.
Negative: Room photos on booking.com seem a bit misleading compared to reality of which room you will get. Might be difficult for a light sleeper as the sound of people coming in and out of their rooms can be clearly heard in the other rooms. I was in initially in a room where I was woken at 5:00 by kitchen sounds, etc, then the staff kindly moved me to a much nicer room overlooking the pool. There I could hear the music from the pool/restaurant area, but it was not very loud and stopped at 22:00-7:00 so it didn't bother me, although might be difficult for early/light sleepers. Breakfast depended on the day, as some days the (very good) food had dried up or the toast burnt because the settings were turned up. Food also wasn't replaced if it ran out, so if you came down towards the end of breakfast, you would have less choice.
