Positive: Very close to the beach, good food, nice swimming pool area, Ladies at the reception super nice and all staff members very welcoming and making the stay really nice. Rooms clean and tidy.

Positive: The hotel was in a great location overlooking a sandy beach. There are 3 blocks that make up this hotel and we stayed in the newer block . Our room was clean though a little small, but the balcony overlooking the bay was great. It seemed that the building was relatively new and felt modern. Room had a fridge . Breakfast was very good with lots of choice , both cold and hot food. Nice walk into the town where there are a nice selection of bars and restaurants and a supermarket. Access to walks around the headland etc .from the hotel through the adjacent campsite. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and there was free car parking. Pebble beach a very short walk away and there was a bar/pizzeria which opened at the weekend . Salad and cold meat/cheese selection at dinner was reasonable .

Negative: We had booked on a half board basis so even though breakfast was good the choices at dinner were not. We stayed for 3 nights and the hot food on our last night was a repeat of our first night (spagetti carbonara ! )and what looked like deep fried food. This was very disappointing. Having said that there were only about 10 people dining and we discovered that this night was the last night of their season so I would say very little effort had been made food wise . I guess readers will say 'but this was a 3 star' but it did not compare to a better 3 star that we stayed in for the rest of the week ! And again maybe because it was the last few days our room was not cleaned or towels changed . There is no where to sit and have a drink during the afternoon as the bar is not open and the tea/coffee machine is only available at breakfast. I was told that drinks were available when the restaurant opened at 7pm I think we would have been better booking this as a b&b option and eaten in the town. The hotel is now closed until April and we did see a notice that indicated that they had planning to build a new block so maybe they will do this during the closed season. We were attracted to this hotel as it was smaller and had quite a few good reviews when we booked it some months ago. We were not aware that we were staying during the last few days of their season and if we had known that then maybe we would have chosen somewhere else, but it does look as if there will be ongoing work to improve the hotel. I hope the food and overall facilities improve !
