Positive: I stayed here at CoGent for a Longstay of 1month. The place is located in a peacefull surrounding with great view of the Hanthana mountains. Extremly calm and a good location. Kamal is the hotel manager and is always willing to help and provides excellent service. I can recommend the place to anybody who is searching to work remotly in the Kandy district. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom is modern and the facility has a pool and big garden. A great location for those who a seek calm and peacefull place.

Negative: It is a little remote, but the service makes up for that. So no downsides.

Positive: Cogent House is set in beautiful gardens and very scenic views all around. We travelled as a couple our room was the biggest so far in Sri Lanka with great views of the gardens and mountains. Kamal went over and above as a host. Anything we asked was not a problem. He had dinner and drinks organised for us on both nights. He provided us with Sri Lankan breakfast 😋. He also organised a tuck tuck trip of Kandy and tickets for the kandy dance show. The house has a pool and plenty of places to sit relax an read. We would certainly come back.

Negative: It is a little out of town but it was our choice of location. There are plenty of tuck tuck.

Positive: We had an amazing stay at Kemal’s property! Kemal was incredibly warm and friendly, and it was such a pleasure talking with him. His knowledge and passion for his garden and plants made our visit very special. The garden itself is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking view. We loved exploring the huge garden, tasting fresh fruits, and relaxing by the wonderful pool. Birdwatching with binoculars was a real highlight – we saw egrets, parrots, and bee-eaters up close, which was unforgettable. Overall, we felt very comfortable and welcomed. This was by far the most memorable accommodation we’ve experienced so far, and we would love to stay here again!

Negative: The room was nice, spacious, and clean. We did notice a bit of a smell from the bathroom due to some dampness, so we kept the door closed. But honestly, this is a common issue is in many places here, and it didn’t affect our stay much. Overall, your place has been by far the nicest accommodation we’ve stayed at so far.

Positive: The property was beautiful and immaculate. What we appreciated the most about the property was the hospitality and helpfulness of the owner. He was extremely accommodating and helpful. The property and rooms were clean and comfortable with a wonderful breakfast. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay here. The manager and the cook both went above and beyond to make sure we feel right at home and have everything we need. The location is in a more residential area and has a huge garden and pool. The room offers a stunning view over the beautiful landscape and was very modern with a very clean bathroom, hot water and AC.
