Positive: The staff were incredible. Definitely the stand out for this stay! All so lovely and accomodating, looked forward to seeing them at every encounter. They recommended amazing restaurants and beaches and communication at every aspect was incredibly easy and prompt via WhatsApp They also very kindly wrote a personalised note on our bed and prepared a cake for our anniversary
Negative: I wish I didn't have to write anything because again, the staff were so amazing, but knowing the property is fairly new, maybe the below can be things to consider moving forward Unfortunately we struggled with the lack of sound proofing for the room and lack of curtains. Which couldn't be fixed at the time obviously but it severely impacted our experience. The doors have quite a large gap (and squeaked when trying to close them) and in Lombok there are religious songs played every morning at around 5-6am and 5-6pm which we could hear very clearly as the property is so close to a temple, to then also be woken up by the blaring light from no curtains in our room. We tried making a makeshift curtain which wasn't so successful The room would also benefit from something guarding off the bathroom from the kitchen for more privacy and to prevent the monkeys from coming into the bathroom so easy. One morning a monkey was going through our toiletry bag One thing I also noticed is we were told we were given an upgrade .. however I think I might've preferred the room we originally booked As much as we enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea everyday and coffee's in the morning, the all vegan menu wasn't to me or my partners liking Lastly and this is just being picky, but maybe a door bell because a few times we did not hear the staff walking in, despite them making themself known, the villa is large and there are many different sounds going on

Positive: Cocoon Reserve in Lombok offers beautifully designed villas unlike anything we’ve experienced before — it truly feels like a treehouse in the jungle. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help, especially with transport, which is very convenient since Grab and Gojek don’t operate in this area. We visited in August 2026 during the soft opening, with only about 8 of 20 villas in use. Despite this, everything already felt well-run and at the level you’d expect from a high-end resort, with no noticeable construction disruption. The location is about 5 minutes from central Kuta. Breakfast ( vegan) , is OK but not exceptional.
Negative: Feels like a jungle resort, but being close to Kuta means you can hear some city noise, including mosques, cars, and the racing circuit.

Positive: My partner and I loved the food offered, including the complimentary breakfast and afternoon snack - some of the best food we had in Lombok during our stay. The staff were all incredibly kind and accomodating too. We didn't know exactly what to expect as the hotel was/is in its opening stages and we were happily blown away by our luxurious villa.
