Summary: There were pros, but bigger cons. Pros: - Restaurant staff were great, very friendly. - The beach was beautiful and we had a great view from our room. Cons: - On the first day, we were told we were going to have to move to a different room on the second day. The second room was worse, and the story for why didn’t stack up. They were then very slow and late at actually moving us, restricting our ability to do what we wanted. Nothing was offered to us as compensation until I asked what we’d received on return given you would never expect to be moved rooms part way through the holiday. Later they gave us a free breakfast to compensated. - The aircon in the new room rattled loudly. You had to wear earplugs in order to sleep. We asked for it to be looked at but it wasn’t. - They tried to overcharge us by $50 per night by including a higher nightly rate than was agreed upon booking. Make sure you check your bill in detail and compare to what you expect. - The bar on the beach wasn’t open. This wasn’t an issue, but there was one member of staff taking drink orders but he only seemed to go to a few people. No clear logic on who he was going to but it definitely wasn’t everyone on the beach.

Summary: We absolutely loved our 5 night stay in Bermuda. The beach at Coco Reef is amazing, and honestly the best reason to stay here. It’s so beautiful! From this location, you can take a bus to a few other of the very best beaches in Bermuda. This hotel is more than fine, but you don’t get much for the cost of the stay. There are no extras. We arrived very early, because we came from L.A. on an overnight flight. They made us wait until 3 pm on the dot to check in. For the price I think they could have let us check in a tiny bit early. I paid more to have 3 people in one room (myself and 2 young adult daughters) but they would only give us 2 coffee cups and balked when I asked for 3 pool towels. I could have done without the stinginess. Maybe bring your own beach towels - you have to ask for them at the front desk. Also I reccommend walking to the market nearby to buy coffee pods and water for your room. The only thing I really did not like about the hotel were the gross cruise ship people with a day pass. They chain smoked, littered the beach with plastic cups and water bottles (Celebrity Cruise- disgusting) and made the pool gross. They also take the best chairs on the beach. Everything was nicer once they would leave in the afternoon.

Summary: Room was updated and clean, but the pool was too chilly to enjoy. Location was convenient and ocean views and beach access are great. Check in was delayed for several hours for others in my group waiting for a room to be ready.

Summary: Room is updated and nice but it still had a few small annoyances. For example, the sliding door had no screen so we could not leave it open and the patio furniture was cheap and old. The bathroom fan did not work so a shower left the entire room humid and wet. The lobby is niceish but the pool area, hallways and grounds are very dated. Beach looks pretty but it was unfortunately raining during our stay so I can not say for sure. Not a great place to stay in bad weather; there was nothing to do; the restaurant and bar had very limited hours.

Summary: Excellent location short taxi from Hamilton. Good restaurant onsite. Seems like all rooms have an ocean view. Fantastic beach. Next to Elbow beach great for walking. Rooms recently renovated. Exceeded my expectation.

Summary: Review Coco Reef Resort My adult daughter and I stayed 7 nights at this beautifully located beachside hotel. Its greatest strengths are the spectacular ocean views, lovely private beach and abundance of sunbeds, meaning it never felt crowded. The beach also connects seamlessly with Elbow Beach and Coral Beach, making for wonderful daily walks. The swimming pool looked inviting, although the water was still too cool for us in April. Staff in the dining room and bar were friendly and polite, and the local lady who cleaned our room was excellent throughout. Sadly, Reception fell far below the standard expected at a hotel of this price. At 79 years old, I was curtly told there was nobody available to help with our heavy luggage to and from Block 4, the hotel’s furthest building. We eventually found, loaded and pushed a trolley ourselves up the slope to Reception. Despite a 3pm check-in, our room was not ready until 6pm, yet no apology, refreshments, beach towels or goodwill gesture were offered. What made this particularly difficult to excuse was seeing the same older Receptionist later leave Reception unmanned to personally chauffeur two young, fit male journalists around the hotel buggy during King Charles’ visit, laughing and joking as she escorted them to their rooms. That contrast in treatment sadly marred what could otherwise have been a very enjoyable stay.
