Negative: We specifically booked this hotel because it was owned by a vineyard, and more importantly, by the renowned Christopher Cannon and his wife. They offered a wine tasting and tour included in the price upon arrival and had a restaurant - so we could eat and enjoy wine and not have to drive anywhere. We arrived, and the hotel/restaurant was dark. OK it was off season but we still expected more life signs at 6pm on a Saturday. Evidently it was necessary to state your arrival time in advance but this wasn't clear. - and it's hard to judge arrival time to such a remote village. After messaging the management we were told someone would arrive in 10 minutes. It was closer to 30... ok we finally checked in but the restaurant was closed (on a Saturday night) there was no wine tasking that evening or even the next day. As nice as the room was and the location, it was a disappointing start. Thankfully there was a wine bar in the village also owned by the same people it seems - and there we could have dinner and some nice wines. The staff were nice and helpful - and we really would have liked to get to know the winery. I hope we can return one day...

Positive: We booked Clos Figueres as an overnight stop on our way back to Belgium and were very pleasantly surprised. This small winery has only three rooms, all very clean, comfortable, and beautifully located with views over the Priorat hills and terraces. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. As part of the stay, a wine tasting of Clos Figueres wines was included, combined with dinner. The wines were of a very high level, especially the top wine Clos Figueres (2021 and 2022), which was outstanding. The tasting was led by Jessica, who made the experience truly special with her warmth, knowledge, and generosity. She adapted the tasting to our interest and offered more than what is usually included. Dinner consisted of excellent tapas, with a very good price-quality ratio. A unique and memorable experience — we would definitely return.

Positive: Rooms are beautiful. From shared kitchen and living room there is a patio with beautiful view where you can enjoy coffee or wine. Gratallops is a perfect location to taste some Priorat wines. Judith is a wonderful host.
