Summary: The Clayhill Cabin was wonderful. A true log cabin, newly built, quiet, very warm and cozy and a great place to sit around talking and looking at the internet. Radiant floor heating, nice sheets, comfortable beds, and a recliner for each person in the great room. Having a conditioned garage for the car was ideal. There were plenty of snacks and drinks to supplement what we brought ourselves and they provided every convenience for the stay. We wondered about noise from nearby Eielson Air Force Base but there were only a few take-offs and landings during daylight hours, more interesting than anything as driving into Fairbanks we saw an AWACS jet and F-35A fighters. We would stay here again and take a vacation just to hang out at the cabin.

Summary: Wow! That is what comes to mind with this cute little cabin! It is amazingly well equipped with everything you can imagine and the hosts are wonderful and communicate quickly! It was warm and inviting from the moment we walked in :) I hope that we get to go back sometime soon!

Summary: The cabin was beautiful, clean and cozy. The fully equipped kitchen was awesome and provided everything we needed to have a few family meals at home. Beds were super comfortable. Sarah and Kris were wonderful hosts and provided everything we needed both before and during our stay. Being outside Fairbanks also provided the opportunity to see the northern lights from the comfort of our own porch. We will definitely book again on our next trip to Alaska!

Summary: This is hands down the best vacation rental i have ever stayed in! Everything is brand new and thoughtfully supplied. The kitchen is fully stocked for anything you might want to cook and had plenty of dishes for 5 people. We got to see the aurora right from our back deck! Comfy beds and spotlessly clean everywhere. The owners are amazing, we had an unfortunate accident in the kitchen and were able to get it worked out with them quickly. They were very understanding. I can't say enough what a 5 star experience this was, would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Summary: We were here for nine nights in October. It was the first time in Alaska for the four of us and we absolutely loved staying at Clayhill Cabin for our vacation! We found this lovely new home to be perfectly clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the basics, plus many thoughtful extras! The furnishings, bed mattresses and linens are of excellent quality and the kitchen is extremely well-equipped. Summary: Clayhill Cabin exceeded all our expectations! It is lovely in it’s appointment, cozy, peaceful, and just beyond perfect! Sarah was wonderful and our entire experience there could not have been more lovely. A short drive to so many great scenic locations, as well as shopping and dining. Yet far enough away to see northern lights and wildlife. We highly recommend Clayhill Cabin for your stay!

Summary: This cabin is a FANTASTIC retreat in the woods outside of Fairbanks. You feel like you are miles and miles away from civilization (and you are) BUT you can get groceries, food, and sightseeing accomplished within a short distance. And it’s a very easy drive to Fairbanks (although there are places closer), and you might luck out seeing jets take off at the Air Force base on your drive. If you have children, it’s very close to the North Pole where you can visit the Santa Claus house and see Santa. The cabin itself is extremely comfortable. The hosts have gone above and beyond in terms of the extras. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party, but it would have easily and comfortably accommodated more people. You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin!

Would definitely recommend this location. Remote, but yet not too far from North Pole if you need anything from town.
