Positive: The location of City Serenity is perfect- right on the outskirt of Myeondong so you are close to everything but it's not crazy. Super easy to get anywhere from this location via bus or subway. The apartment was very clean and the host is super responsive- answering within minutes every time. The bed downstairs is comfortable.

Negative: The loft bed is horrific. It's a low-quality mattress on the floor and you might as well be sleeping on the ground. We are both in our 40s but in good shape without physical issues and we both woke up in pain using this mattress. A coat rack or hook would be nice- there's nowhere to hang coats/jackets and no closet space for hanging long clothes. No iron. Every time you turn the bathroom light on the bedroom lights go on so that's annoying if someone is trying to sleep. Lastly, the host gave me three different addresses and accidentally left out instructions for the keypad to get in. This was ok because host was extremely responsive and all was cleared up within minutes, but it would be nice to get the detailed/clear instructions initially. All in all I would gladly stay here again if the bed upstairs was better.

Positive: Location was good for Taxi pickup and drop-off. Location is a 2 min walk from a railway station and easily under 10 min walk from the main shopping district. The washing machine and dryer were a life saver after trekking in Japan. The room was modern and quiet. There was no issue with the wifi unlike a review that we had previously read. Overall, we could not have hoped for better. As entry was via a door code, there is no issue with waiting for the host or inconvenient check in times.

Negative: It was all good.

Negative: Curtains did not shut out the sun so the bedroom was so bright early in the morning.

The owner was also very helpful and responsive to my queries and needs, even sending 2 new bottles of detergent within the hour to replace an empty one after I raised it. The location was also very near Nandaemun market and accessible through public transport.
