This sensational duplex is right on the water. Enjoy South Florida living at its best from this ground floor, easily accessible, spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath property. Fully stocked kitchen, large 55" Smart TV in the living room, plus Smart TVs in each bedroom. Just 7 mins to Himmarshee Street with all the fantastic bars and restaurants for a great evening out. The unit is also just 12 mins from Fort Lauderdale beach, and 10 mins to the Fort Lauderdale Airport and the FLL Port where you can catch your cruise. Full size laundry machines inside the unit. Fast WiFi and a lovely and peaceful vibe and view.
Home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a sofa bed. It can sleep 4 in beds and another two in a sofa bed.
As you walk in through the private entrance you'll see straight through the beautiful Intracoastal water, and you'll immediately feel relaxed. One King bed and one Queen bed outfitted with the latest luxury percale sheets will give you a great restorative sleep.
When you wake up, grab a bite in one of the best and quirkiest places in Fort Lauderdale, called Magnolia Caffee. You must try the waffles, half sweet, half savory, you'll thank me later ;-). After that catch some rays at Fort Lauderdale Beach. There's plenty of parking along A1A, and enjoy the South Florida ocean. In the mood for a slice? Walk across the street and grab a NY-style pizza at Primanti Brothers. The best cocktails you'll get at DrYnk on Wilton Drive. Wilton Manors is the epicenter of the LGBTQ community, and it's tremendous fun to walk along Wilton Drive and just people watch. When you're done for the day, come back home and relax on the outdoor lounge chairs, enjoy the view and watch as the sailboats stroll by.

Summary: The main problem with this stay was the management company called “Le Château” and their representative Alex. After completing our reservation with Vrbo, they sent me an additional contract from their company that included a clause about guests not disputing credit card charges (?!) and charges not listed on Vrbo including a significant deposit not mentioned anywhere. They overcharged my credit card and were very slow to make any of the corrections. Additionally near the end of our stay, they processed three random charges directly to my credit card with no notification or explanation of any kind. I spent hours researching and writing to them about these charges, and with the help of their bookkeeping ledger, discovered that the charges are inaccurate. To this date they still have neither resolved nor refunded the overcharges. The duplex is nice - as pictured - including the small yard on the waterway. The linens are fine, but washcloths and bath mats were old. The kitchen had nice plates, cups and glasses - but was not well equipped for cooking.

Summary: The property was very clean and well maintained. It is in a very quiet neighborhood which made for a good night's sleep every night. There was enough room to spread out or retire to our own rooms with TV's. Although we were in town on business and didn't spend a lot of time at the property, it had everything needed if we had spent time there for meal prep, etc.
